Fantastic unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3 rd year going strong. This thing is a unit it's chewed through tall grass and weeds and gargled chunks of storm debris and it just doesn't care. I haven't even sharpened the blade once. I just got it out to mow sections where repairs from the storm could have left more debris and I don't want to damage my 25 inch newer model. It chewed through 6-7 inch grass in mulch mode on height setting 3 and wouldn't quit and the grass looked even despite it all. I really just wanted the twin battery 21 inch but could only find the 25 inch twin blade. I really wanted self propelled and manual turbo control along with 2 battery ports for the extra energy used. I like the 25 inch it does pretty good so far, but that 21 inch model is strong and hard to beat. Also feels light as a feather.
Side discharge is the only weakness at that is highly dependant on when you mow and what settings. Unlikely to throw rocks and have to sweep grass though.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Effective, Powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Spool system is almost unworkable, and pretty much impossible to reload. Very disappointing product from Greenworks.

Hello Sconie. Thank you for your feedback. We ae sorry to hear the spool system has been so frustrating to use. If the spool feels difficult or “unworkable,” a few adjustments can often make a big difference. First, confirm you are using the correct line diameter (typically .080" for many 80V models), as thicker or incompatible line can prevent proper feeding and make reloading much harder. When loading, make sure the line is fed evenly through both sides and wound tightly in the direction indicated on the head, loose or uneven winding is one of the most common causes of jams or poor performance. It is also important not to overfill the spool, as excess line can bind inside the housing. Before reinstalling, check that the spool cap, spring, and tabs are aligned correctly and that the housing is free of debris, since buildup can interfere with smooth operation. For a step-by-step walkthrough, this Greenworks Tools video may help demonstrate the correct loading process and make it easier to follow along (https://youtu.be/2eiGIXXzx2w). If you are still experiencing issues after trying these steps, pre-wound spools can be a convenient alternative, and our support team can also help confirm whether the spool or head assembly may need replacement. They can be reached either using the online chat function, on Greenworks Tools page, or by calling 1-888-909-6757. We appreciate your feedback and would like the opportunity to help get your trimmer performing as expected.
