I hate this mower when I try to go backward the wheels lock up. I have tried stopping the mower and pushing it forward, but the wheels still lock up. This has to be the stupidest thing Greenworks has done.

Hello Archie 1776,
Thank you for your review. The self-propelled drive system with rear-wheel-drive and variable speed control on this unit has been designed for maximum traction, maneuverability, and control. Self-propelled mowers move under their own power, utilizing a dedicated propulsion motor or a geared transmission running of the main (blade) motor. This reduces the strain of pushing a heavy lawn mower, meaning bigger areas of lawn can be mowed more frequently as the operators are less fatigued. The wheels temporarily lock when the self-propel feature is not engaged for safety precautions, however with a slight push ahead the mower should engage the self-propelled feature right away and get you right back to mowing as desired. We are sorry to hear that your purchase fell below expectations, if you ever have any questions or warranty needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to Greenworks directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us at Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.

I bought the 80 V leaf blower. I wasn’t sure if the 60 V would do what I needed. The 80 V was plenty strong. I have had it about three weeks.
Greenworks blower has three speeds and a light indicator to tell you the battery charge level.
The heaviest job I did was a ton of wet leaves on our house roof and in the rain gutters. On medium speed it did the job with no problem! I did use the top speed just to remove a big pile at the end of the gutters.
The battery holds maximum power until the battery is empty. The battery charges in 20 to 30 minutes.
On one charge when I first got it I did the roof, the back patio, the driveway, the bed of my truck, and played with it in the yard. It still had plenty of battery charge left when I was done.
Yes, if you use the top speed it uses more power. This means it doesn’t last as long.
I love this blower. It performs better than I expected.
The 80 V is not sold in stores. I ordered it from Greenworks and had it in three or four days.

Pro 80V Brushless 21” Lawn Mower exceeds my gas powered mowers in every category: (1) Lightweight, easy to maneuver with one hand, (2) Powerful, sensing technology increases RPM’s through deeper grass, (3) Long lasting, battery powers over half-acre area, recharges in twenty minutes, (4) Storage, easy to clean and compactly store in garage, (5) Safety, no flammable fuel/oil storage, (6) Savings, no annual fuel engine winterization or spring maintenance, (7) Quiet, no annoying noise pollution.

I’ve had my leaf blower 1 week now. I am enjoying using it. It has plenty of power. I would like to get a second battery but don’t know which battery will fit it. Don’t know where to find the battery number.

Poor Quality Prevents Assembly
on April 15, 2021

I'm reading the reviews of other users and wishing I could get as far as testing the mower. My unit came with the plastic handle knobs so poorly manufactured that the upper handle assembly cannot be attached to the mower at all. Overall the build quality is very poor compared to gas mowers in the same price range. My suggestion is to build a better mower and charge more for it (think Tesla), the bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low cost is forgotten.

has plenty of power, battery lasts only 20 minutes expected more running time, that is the reason I went with 80V, not sure I want to spend more money on a larger hour amp battery. I am interested in the 80V Snow shovel that could use the same battery and charger but?

Not perfect, but still great

So this is probably the best battery-powered lawn mower one can buy today: it cuts through thick grass, would strongly recommend the 80V battery for larger yards. However, the unit is pretty heavy for a push mower so if you need to use it on slopes, it may be a challenge. The side piece that directs the mulch comes off very easily, which is also not good.

Junk

Used it approximately 30 times in a little over a year. It runs for 10 minutes then the battery needs to be re-charged. It take less than 5 minutes to fully charge and still it runs for only 10 minutes. It is clearly either a defect or they make junk. They have not responded to multiple emails claiming that they are protecting their employees. Seems they have not figured out how to work remotely. Avoid this product and this company.

Hello Burned,
Thank you for your feedback; we are very sorry for the delay in addressing your emails. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have had some challenges responding to the high volume of requests coming in as was previously done. Our team has been doing our best to be in contact with each waiting customer as promptly and safely as possible as we are all adjusting to new changes the best we can. We can assure you that the delays currently taking place are not typical under normal circumstances. We have been receiving understanding and patience from many of our customers through this difficult time which has been appreciated; we hope you will come to understand and bear with us as well. We know that this is not an ideal situation. If you have not sent a request in a while, please send another request and ensure that your request has been submitted using the customer contact page located on our website and one of our team members will be in contact with you at the earliest opportunity to discuss this matter. Ensure that you have also checked your junk/spam folder just in case our reply went to that folder. In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. Hope these suggestions help.
