Disappointing

I really tried to make this work, but it just wasn't the right blower for my driveway. I have other greenworks tools that I really like and already had to 80v batteries so that's why I chose it. My main issue was the fact that in mostly light, fluffy snow (4 inches) it would not blow it far enough to even clear the most narrow portion of my driveway causing me to go back over areas multiple times. I was going down the middle of the driveway that is about 10ft wide and it could not make the 5ft to blow it onto the grass, which is obviously well short of the 25ft that is advertised.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that you are not completely satisfied with this Snow Blower. Depending on the type of snow, the discharge range will vary. This snow thrower can discharge up to 20' but this would be with light and fluffy snow. If the snow is wet, heavy, packed, or icy the discharge range will reduce significantly. When using any snow thrower on wet snow, there is a chance of clogging. Often, the reason for this is that the speed of the impeller causes wet snow/slush to freeze.
For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once and move a little quicker. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Believe it or not, your chute can clog from simply not moving fast enough. As you move faster, the impeller pushes snow out with more force, hopefully throwing in further. It also helps to keep a tool nearby that can be used to poke the ice/snow down when it gets clogged. Never put a tool in while the unit is running and make sure the impeller has completely stopped moving first.

Poor plastic parts

Used first time today. While bringing back into garage and pulling handle over the threshold, small plastic piece molded into unit housing snapped off causing handle to not stay in position. I will say the company agreed to replace but I can see this happening again. If it does, I hope I can get a full refund.

Very Disappointed

I bought this right before a big new years storm in Utah. Battery at full charge lasted 25 mins at best. Not much power or performance. I ended up shoveling my driveway while the battery had to be put back on charger only 1/4 into my driveway. Terrible experience , not cheap either. Necer will buy the brand again.

Battery run times will depends on a multitude of things including which battery you are using(2.0ah, 3.0ah, 4,0ah, 5.0ah etc), the weight of the snow, how much snow, etc. The size of ones driveway as well may require the battery to be charged more than other smaller driveways/areas. I requested this blower for Christmas! I love working in the yard! This blower has exceeded all expectations This will be the only blower you’ll ever need - it’s powerful! Easily handles heavy debris , All leaves - wet or dry - cuts time working on the yard 75% . Also nice that’s its quiet . It’s not heavy

50 yo woman living in mountains in Utah. I really love this unit! I use it for the long driveway and back deck. I wanted something I could operate myself and carry up 5 stairs to the back deck. It is light and peppy. It blows 6-8" snow really well, even wet, heavy snow. A big dump can be a little challenging for this thrower. It has the capacity to throw really far, farther than I expected. The battery lasts for about half of my space. I am going to get 1 extra battery so I can finish the job in one go. LED light works great in dark. Starts great, does not really plug up often, but did a few times for me with deep, heavy wet snow- a little learning curve and you can avoid plugging it up. Saves me from having to push and lift heavy wet snow & cuts my work time by half, at least! If you are looking for something in between shoveling and a monster snow blower, this is it! Husband actually likes it too!

A bit of an update (including spell checking fixes - sigh) since my original post...
Unfortunately, the setup instructions for the 80V, 22" snow thrower are CRAP. Thankfully, with a little common sense (and some cussing and frustration), it can be figured out.
A packing list for items in the box is nonexistent (THIS would have been extremely helpful) and the 'overview' of the thrower lists 32 distinct items, yet the picture only shows 15 of them. The setup instructions call out for the use of 'Bolt (#17)' and 'Handle Knob (#16)' what appears to be four distinct times in two different steps (7.2 and 7.3) - yet these parts are distinctly different from each other and have different uses depending on which part of the unit you are assembling - and when first called out in the instruction (step 7.2), you need to use a COMPLETELY different part than described (i.e., you need the 'Quick-release lever assembly and knob' - for which a quick-release assembly is useless). Makes you wonder if the parts and instructions were made as a part of a high school shop class - not from a company that expects you to pay several hundred dollars for this machine.
Operationally, this unit pushes MUCH easier than the more recent vintage 80V 20" snow thrower from Greenworks I also own does - the 22" thrower does not suffer from the overly extended scraper blade which on the 20" digs into the surface you are trying to clear with the result it is extremely difficult to push. Having the handle on the 22" be higher is of great help, as well - not as much stooping to push. The placement of the LED headlights is odd - they are too easily overcome by the snow actually being 'augered' to be of much use. A higher placement on the unit somewhere would have been a good move.
We had a 9.5" wet/heavy snowfall the other day and I was impressed with how well the unit cleared snow - until it couldn't anymore. I am a realist about this and I know the way I have to clear our driveway causes build-up/drifting of the blown snow onto the as yet-to-be cleared potion of the driveway, which made it overwhelm the unit (had to break out the big two-stage John Deere gas-powered thrower to finish the job). Regardless, had this been a lighter, less deep snow, I feel very confident it would have done an excellent job clearing the snow. So, so far, so good in this area - time will tell of reliability and continued functionality.
The rating would have been higher, but for the pesky and annoying setup issues.

Thanks for a great snowblower!!

My wife and I bought this just around Thanksgiving and finally, the snow has arrived. So today, I got to use this snowblower. I have to say that what lead us to this product was our purchase of our Greenworks 21" self propelled Lawnmower. Knowing that the batteries from our mower would fit this snowblower did help our decision a bit.
A note about shipping, we had it shipped to our home, and all I can say is WOW! We got it very quickly (about 4 days), and it was packed like a tank. They built a steel frame around the snowblower with steel tracks to keep the snowblower from any possible movement. That was impressive.
So today (12/22/2022) we so far have gotten about 4 inches of very fine tightly packed snow with some drifting as well. It cut through all snow with no issues whatsoever. It does take a little getting used to the controls, but that doesn't take long. I didn't have a need for the zero turn feature yet but tried it and it works great. Just a tip that you should practice with this snowblower using all of the features to make sure you don't get in a jam or run into something. When trying out the zero turn feature in the road, you will go where it goes, like it or not! In other words, plenty of power so hang on...
I truly was able to blow snow 50 feet easy. If was very windy, gusting up to 45 MPH, and I was blowing into the wind and of course snow will blow back, but when I needed it, I increased the auger speed and it easily pushed through the wind.
The controls are easy to use once you get used to them. It is a little cumbersome to have to hit the power button quite often after turning off the auger, but it's not a big deal, just have to get used to it. In the blowing snow, I had trouble seeing which lights I had on, so I need to get used to setting it the way I want, then leaving it. Found out later I had lights on when I didn't need them, but of course, my fault. Turning the discharge chute and adjusting the angle worked great too. It was about 10 degrees and in the past, these controls would freeze and get stuck. I didn't have anything have an issue with the cold and wind at all.
Regarding battery usage, since this was my first time using this, I did quite a bit of playing and trying different drive and auger speeds. I was out close to an hour and I had about 25% battery left. And I only had two batteries in. I switched to my lawn mower battery which didn't last anywhere near as long which of course is totally expected. The batteries also charged fairly quickly at 20% as well. Seems it was around 30 minutes or so.
I only have one minor complaint, which is with the scraper plate. It worked great at scraping, but our driveway is uphill, and has some uneven sections where the concrete has either sunk a little or raised a little. A few times since the scraper is so low, it can hit these lips in the concrete causing me to abruptly stop and have to back up. After a little usage, I just had to make sure to remember to push down slightly on the handles to cause it to lift a little to ensure I didn't hit anything. It would be cool if this was somehow adjustable to allow enough space for known height differences. Other than that, I really like this snowblower a lot.
So of course this is 1 usage, but so far, this is a great tool. Looking forward to what others say as well. I'll post more updates once I do more in the days ahead.
