First time using the 20" 1 stage snow blower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used for first time on about 4-5" snowfall. Snow was light and the blower worked well. Road had been plowed so bottom of driveway was heavier and chunky, but took a shovel and chopped that area to loosen the snow, and then the blower went through fine. Low noise. I had a larger 80V battery from another Greenworks product, and was able to finish whole drive but had to switch out batteries to do the bottom of drive. This certainly beats the huge gas powered beast of a blower we've had for years. Good timing since hubby just had shoulder surgery, so I can do this as it is very light weight and easy to maneuver. It was fun!!

Auger spinning issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to use this product yesterday and had major issues with the auger even with light, fluffy snow. After bringing the batteries, fully charged, from inside and putting them in the snowblower, the auger wouldn't spin consistenly.
* I would start the auger by holding the paddle. It would start, stop, start, stop start, stop and beep. This happened even when I wasn't moving snow. Very rarely I was able to keep the auger going long enough to finish a whole row.
* Sometimes when I finally got the auger moving I would push the drive paddle and the auger would stop and beep.
* Whenever I was able to finish a row I would release the drive paddle so I could turn around and adjust the chute. When I did this the auger would stop and the snowblower would turn off.
* The snowblower turned off a lot during operation even if I was holding down the auger paddle.
* Sometimes when I finally got the auger moving I would push the drive paddle and the auger would stop and beep.
* Whenever I was able to finish a row I would release the drive paddle so I could turn around and adjust the chute. When I did this the auger would stop and the snowblower would turn off.
* The snowblower turned off a lot during operation even if I was holding down the auger paddle.
* I tried a dozen things to get it to operate like half rows, different batteries, etc.
* I maintain the batteries as described in the manual.
* Overall it took 5-10x as long as it should have to clear a two-car driveway and sidewalk.
