very disappointed circuit board issues

puchased 80v 20" coreless in Oct,2021 used 1 time to clear 2" of snow-worked well, A week later turned it on ran for 15 minutes stopped working, Greenworks helped to find an authorized dealer to repair, took it to get repaired on Jan 17th Greenworks can't provide the correct parts or damage free parts to correct the problem. As of Feb 7th--blower still not fixed, waiting for parts that were damaged in shippment. Had 12" of snow 5 days ago, had no blower to remove snow. thought this was a good alternative to a gas blower-not so much. Cir

This was the best investment! No need for gas! Just press the start button and go! Only wish you didnt have to push ir! But definitely beats lifting snow!

Battery vs. Engine, Battery powered wins hands down

Coming from a 9HP Craftsman snow blower with power drive, I was initially reluctant to try a battery one without powered wheels. To my own surprise, I found it easier to move through thick snow because it is slow light weight, it just cuts into it. Thinking about it after the powered one I used more energy because the wheels often slipped and you had to give it the hip push. Not so with this Greenworks model, if it is thicker, perhaps ice chunks in it, it is so much easier to push it back and forth into it.
Throwing distance might be the only drawback as it is not a 2 stage. However, I found it if you just go faster through it, the farther it will throw. Low volumes will just get dumped to the side, which in the grand scheme of things isn't an issue because when you go over that portion it will have more snow and throw it farther.
Another advantage is the maneuverability of it because it is so light and it just glides on the wheels. Without the engine stuff to deal with, its just a button and pull down safety handle to turn on, really anyone in the house can use it instead of shoveling.
I have a 2 acre lot where I do get the driveway plowed and do everything else with this, front walk and back patio. Easily does it with the one charge.

For a battery operated snowblower it works great, we got 8inches of snow and I use the snowblower the first time and it did a great job. The battery lasted longer then I thought.

First snow here in Indiana. I’d say 3-5 “ more to come. Have to say I was surprised how well it worked. Did 2 drives and sidewalks on one battery. Ended up doing six altogether before getting cold. So easy. I only gave it a try because I have the mower that uses same battery. The snow was fluffy but this thing powered thru some thick stuff so I think it will do well with wetter stuff as well. Love it.

Impressed how it handles 1 foot of heavy snow

We just had a very heavy 1 foot of snow and I spent over an hour plowing my front driveway and both batteries (4A and 2A) are dead. Completely understand why. It was really working that snow and I wasn't being easy on it. Once the batteries were done charging, I spent another 1/2 hour cleaning.

Feels cheaply made. Not on par with other equipment

I have used this for 1 and a half seasons now. It works well enough if you keep up with the snow. Living in NE Ohio I definitely can't let the snow get up past 6 inches before I go out. But that's not my big issue. There are metal parts at the bottom of the snowblower that are supposed to glide along the cement. Those have now broken on me 3 times. After 2-3 times of using it. I would expect a part that is at the front of the snowblower would be better made to take a beating.
Overall, I would pass on this. The plastic design just isn't cut out for dragging along cement for an hour.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this 22” for Christmas and have already put it through the test with a 6-8” snow and a 17” snowfall. Thoroughly impressed! It took a bit of pushing and pulling to clear the 17” but it actually got it done for 2 properties and a commercial shopping center sidewalk. Definitely a new fan of greenworks
