Great saw, need a longer lasting batteries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw itself is phenomenal. It has lots of torque and cuts through wood like it was butter. I cut down an 20” elm tree and it was faster and easier than my rancher 450.
However, under heavy cutting it eats through batteries like candy at Halloween. I think my shortest battery was 10 minutes.
I would buy it again knowing for thick logs I still need to have my gas saw handy.
Pros: Effective, Powerful

great saw for desert conservation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The company i used to work for, and many of our federal agency partners, use this saw in the Desert Southwest. When doing habitat conservation, having an electric saw has significant benefits over gas: reduced noise = less disturbance and greater safety among crew; less risk of spills/contamination when working in areas with sensitive species, and the opportunity to have a solar-powered system.
More importantly, with the crazy daily 30-40deg F temperature swings in the desert, electric saws avoid lots of downtime that tend to happen with gas saws.
Pros: Convenient, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great purchase. The price was comparable to those at the local stores, but i love having the same manufacturer products. Not to mention my loyalty point!!!

My replacement chain arrived within a few days. Easy to understand instructions on You Tube via Google made it a snap to install within minutes. My 16" Greenworks chainsaw is working like a charm again.

Chainsaw oiling?

I don’t think it’s getting oiled. Does the oil cap need to be flipped open while it’s running?
