WORST WASHER I HAVE OWNED

BOUGHT THE WASHER AND DRYER IN 2016 1 YEAR AND MONTH LATER THE WATER PUMP WENT OUT NOW IT HAS GONE OUT AGAIN. WOU;D NOT RECOMMEND GE TO MY WORST ENEMY

Load Rebalancing takes forever.....

Washing clothes takes time, and this washer takes a lot of time. More time than is estimated on the display. No matter the size of the load "load rebalancing" takes a long time and creates growling noise for half an hour. Take some of the clothes out, hopefully it goes into spin cycle sooner than later. Take half that load into the dryer and then spin down the clothes you took out to remedy the "load rebalancing" issue. It is extremely irritating. Might as well put it in storage and replace it with my smaller samsung I've got in the garage.

Machine experienced total failure after 2 years. The repair costs as much as the machine did new. Totalled. 1 year waranty. Go figure. Won't be buying anymore GE products.

Tough washing machine

We purchased this washing machine in June 2008. Over the past 12 years we had between 7 to 10 people in this house and this washer was used often all throughout the day. We’ve only had it repaired once, an it’s still working. We will always purchase GE appliances.

Terrible Machine

I bought this washer only 4 1/2 years ago and just had a repairman out and was told it would cost nearly as much as I paid for the machine new to repair. I didn’t realize at the time of purchase that it was a throw away machine. It is only my husband and myself so it’s not like it runs everyday if the week. They don’t build them like they use to apparently. I definitely will be looking at other brands as I don’t want a repeat in a few years down the road. Very disappointed.

4 years, 2 service calls and I have to replace

I absolutely loved this machine until about a year ago. It started making sounds and the belt had to be replaced five months ago. The technician noted the cement (?) part at the top of the drum is cracked. How the heck does that happened??? Five moths later my machine is loud again and the bearing is seizing. A few more hundred???? I think not. Disappointed in this GE product. Seems to hit a certain point and falls apart. I did have the ge tech come out prior to the one year warranty expiring but can’t remember what for.
