[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought all appliances for our new house. Never saw the microwave till it was installed. The farm sriund it was severely dented and had to be replaced. Also why would you have to push an unlock button to open the microwave? I can see it if the microwave is running but even when it stops you have to push an unlock button. Makes no sense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We apologize for the concerns that you are experiencing with your Microwave.
It is important for users to understand that the formation of condensation on the microwave door and within the oven cavity is a very common occurrence and is considered a normal part of the microwave's operation, particularly when heating foods with high moisture content.
High-moisture foods, such as vegetables, soups, beverages, and casseroles, produce significant amounts of steam as they heat up. This steam naturally rises and, upon contacting the cooler surfaces of the microwave (specifically the glass door and the interior cavity walls), it quickly cools and turns back into liquid water—this process is known as condensation.
Is condensation forming on your microwave door? Does the Microwave door glass appear wavy or rippled?
The steam that condenses on the inside surface of the microwave door is what can make the glass appear temporarily "wavy" or rippled. This visual effect is due to the layer of moisture distorting the light passing through the glass and is not a defect in the door itself.Possible Solutions:
Immediate Action: Use a clean, soft cloth or a paper towel to simply wipe the moisture off the interior surface of the door.
Moisture Dissipation (Between Glass Panes): In some designs, if moisture is noticed between the two panes of glass on the microwave door (a less common but possible occurrence), the best course of action is to promote natural evaporation. Allow the microwave door to stand open for approximately 15 minutes. This ventilation allows the moisture-laden air to escape and accelerates the natural dissipation of the trapped moisture.
Condensation Inside the CavitySymptom: Is excessive condensation accumulating on the interior walls and ceiling of the microwave cavity? Similar to the door, high-moisture foods produce steam that condenses on the cooler metal or plastic surfaces of the cavity interior. This is a clear indicator that the microwave is operating correctly and efficiently heating the food.

After cooking, use a clean, soft cloth or paper towel to wipe the moisture from the cavity walls. This practice helps maintain a clean interior and prevents potential residue buildup.
Best Practice Suggestions for Reducing Excessive Steam
While condensation is unavoidable when heating moist foods, users can take simple steps to minimize the amount of steam generated and contained within the microwave:
Covering Food is Key:
Purpose: Covering food helps in three key ways: it helps retain the food's moisture (leading to better results), it can shorten the overall cook time, and most importantly, it significantly reduces spattering and the amount of steam released into the cavity.
Recommended Covers:
Use Supplied Lids: Always utilize the lid supplied with the specific microwave-safe cookware, if available.
Alternatives: If a specific lid is not available, acceptable coverings include wax paper, paper towels, or plastic wrap that is explicitly approved for use in microwave ovens.
Proper Ventilation with Plastic Wrap:
Crucial Step: When using plastic wrap (microwave-approved), it is essential to ensure that steam can escape. The plastic wrap should be turned back or lifted at one corner to provide a small opening. This opening allows a controlled amount of steam to vent, preventing excessive pressure buildup and reducing the overall amount of condensation inside the oven.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the microwave. Performs well, easy to use, and the stainless steel doesn’t show fingerprints. The dimensions of this microwave and frame were great to retrofit our old microwave. Looking forward to getting the Kitchenaid wall ovens as well!

Confusing instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am disappointed in the "ease of use" of this microwave. I have owned and used many microwave ovens in my life and find that setting the power and cook time is overly complicated and user UNfriendly. I am still trying to figure it out even after reading the instructions, which did not help at all. Who writes your manuals? Do they proofread them, or have someone unfamiliar with the product walk through the instructions to see if they make sense? Most microwave ovens allow you to set the power by pressing Power, then a number, and set the time by pressing the Cook Time and then the time, both would be displayed in the display window, so you'd know what you selected. This is what people expect. What you have done is not an improvement.
