Great bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m nursing and occasionally bottle feeding and was using another brand’s bottle after reading that it’s highly recommended by lactation consultants. That bottle however leaked a lot because the milk was dripping whether or not my baby was sucking, and the nipple was too stiff for a consistently good latch. This Philips Avent nipple is perfectly shaped, isn’t too stiff and the milk only comes out when it needs to. My baby loves it. I received this bottle as part of the Stellar product testing panel but plan on purchasing more myself.

No more messy feedings

I am a first time mom with a five month old. I have been breastfeeding and supplementing with a bottle since day one. I’ve never had to worry about her having issues with latch or accepting a bottle, thank goodness; but to say she is a messy eater would be an understatement. For the first four months, my daughter tried a number of other bottles, but preferred the wider nipples as opposed to the standard nipple sizes.
A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to try these Philips Advent Natural Bottle through the Stellar Review Panel. And oh my goodness, I didn’t know what I was missing until we tried out these bottles. Not only did my daughter take to them right away, but there was a noticeable decrease in the messiness of feeding time. They allowed my daughter to have such a great latch! I also really appreciate the responsive nipple. It was a nice change of pace to not have milk leak out of the nipple when my daughter unlatched or shifted her head around.
In addition to the nipple shape, I quite like the shape of the bottle. Even though the bottle was large, at nine ounces, the bottle was very comfortable to hold during feedings. I also appreciate the simplicity of the bottle itself; I was not left with cleaning half-a-dozen different pieces every night.
There are only a couple negatives which keeps me from giving this bottle five stars: the first, the nipple connection - there are little ridges in the connection part of the nipples to the ring, inevitably to secure it. However, these ridges can get difficult to clean thoroughly. The second negative, it is difficult to get the last quarter ounce out of the bottle and into the nipple unless you lift the bottle almost vertical, which is less than ideal with a sleep baby.
Overall, I am very impressed with this bottle and I will continue to use as the primary bottles for my little one!

This bottle has the best latch for my baby

I had a premie baby and I have been having a really hard time finding him a bottle he can latch on. I’ve tried a couple where he would drink from but never finishes the bottle without fussing and crying. So I was really excited to try the Philip Avant Natural Baby bottle. My baby really loved this bottle he latched perfectly at the first try and drank all his milk in one sitting. I think The nipple shape makes it easy for him to latch. Also loved how easy it was to assemble and wash. The nipple flow was perfect I’m going to stick with this bottle.

No more drip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle. I tested this bottle with my daughter who is learning how to take a bottle and she easily adapted to the nipple and the mechanism. I was pleasantly surprised that we did not see the drip we usually see with other bottles making it less messy. She did take a long time getting the last drops of the bottle but I am thinking this may be due to needing the next bottle nipple size up. Overall I do like this bottle and will continue to test it with my daughter.

Terrific bottle set

I was excited when I received an email selecting me to test the Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle Set with Natural Response Nipple, 9oz. Currently I am breastfeeding and trying to switch my 7 month old to bottles and cups for when I am away working. I like the size of the bottle it is easy for my little one to hold and it fit inside her diaper bag and bottle cooler perfectly. I like that the nipples do not leak, so milk is not wasted like most bottles. My little one did not care for the nipple it's possibly because she been primarily breastfed for 7 months, and I'm just now starting to test out different bottles and cups. The times I had to work, and she had no choice, but to take the bottle because she was hungry husband stated it was a breeze. She was able to control the pace of milk flow during feeding. I think the nipple would be fine once she get use to taking bottles more frequently. The bottles were easy to assemble. All it take is a simple twist of the bottle ring. You do not have to keep twisting it to make sure it's on tight like most bottles. These bottles were very easy to clean. I didn't not have to use extra cleaning tools besides her bottle and nipple brush because the design is so simple.

So easy to go from breast to bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is EBF, but since he is starting daycare soon since I'll be returning to work, we needed to find a bottle that would ensure he'd still be interested in nursing. We gave the Philips Avent Natural bottle a try, and my son loved it! It took him a few tries to figure out how the nipple worked, but he didn't get frustrated. Once he figured it out, he even tried to grab the bottle on his own (5 months old!) and feed himself! I was so impressed! It must be because of the design of the bottle - it's easy for adults to feed babies, but also easy for babies to feed themselves! My son dropped the bottle on the couch a few times, but nothing spilled out, which was amazing! Personally, I love that this bottle only has three parts to clean, unlike some other brands that have multiple pieces to clean. With me going back to work shortly, it's important that I spend as much time with my son as possible, and fewer pieces means less time doing dishes and more time with my son. I also loved that I could pump directly into the bottle without any special adapters for my pump!

My favorite bottles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my avent natural baby bottles and nipple. Both my children have liked these bottles best, including my current 2 month old. The bottle is easy to hold and comfortable. The lid has a dent in it to help easily take off. The nipple tip looks more natural than other products. It also allows for a slow drop or a stream depending on how baby uses it. It’s so easy to clean since there are only three pieces. I was using a size two nipple for 0+ months but now have moved to a size 3 nipple. Thanks stellar panel for allowing me to test this fabulous product. Will be buying more!

Baby loved it and it fits my pump flange

It’s the first bottle she was able to hold on her own for long spurts of time due to the ergonomic shape and holding indentations. She is 4.5 months old so this was amazing. She is breastfed and bottle fed with pumped milk. I was thrilled that this fit my pump flange without an adapter! I can pump right into the bottle without having to do extra dishes. The 8oz capacity is great too because I often pump up to 6oz at a time after long stretches like early mornings. My baby liked the wide natural nipple because she is also breastfed. We tried nipple flow 2 & 3. She preferred flow 2 because she is also breastfed and it didn’t come too fast but both worked! I think soon she will be using the flow 3 more often as I do have a fast flow breastfeeding and she’s getting older/eating faster. The bottle was super easy to clean as there are no additional parts just the nipple and bottle plus lid. Baby enjoyed the bottle as you can see by the photos she is very happy! She could pace the flow of milk the way she wanted and didn’t have much reflux after either which can be a problem for her. Will definitely get more of these! Honestly the fact that I can pump directly into them is the biggest factor it makes it so much easier for me.
