Love the bottles but not the nipples

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four children and used Philips Avent bottles for them all! When I find a product I love, I stick with it. As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" right?! Well, imagine my surprise when the Stellar Review Panel sent me the *new* and *improved* Philips Avent Natural bottles with Natural Response nipples. These nipples are not the ones I have faithfully relied on for 13 years, and my 9 month old daughter agrees! After several, frustrating attempts we had to switch back to the OG! You will LOVE the simplicity and easy maintenance of these bottles. I only hope your baby has better luck with the nipple.

Good first bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The bottle is well designed with a lot of thoughtful details included. As a busy mom, I appreciate the easy-to-clean feature of placing it on the top rack of the dishwasher. It also comes with few parts, unlike other bottles which require multiple pieces to be washed every time. At the time of the product testing, my son was 9 months and had transitioned to bottle-only feedings using a level 3/medium-fast flow nipple. Using the 1+month nipple from this bottle pack caused my son issues while drinking, which is why I reduced the star rating. He frequently sucked too hard to bring the milk out, causing the nipple to collapse and his frustrations to increase. He became fatigued while drinking his bottle after working so hard to fight against the slow nipple flow. Had we been given a faster flow nipple, I am confident that this bottle would have been a good fit for him. On the contrary, the no-drip nipple design was greatly appreciated when I was unable to place it down correctly!

Not the easiest breast to bottle transition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little one has been nursed directly at the breast for 9 months, and she only gets bottles when watched by family members. She had a hard time taking this bottle. She has always had a really good, deep latch and she struggled to latch with this bottle due to the shallow slope of the nipple.
However, from a mom’s point of view, there were a few positive things about this bottle: (1) the nipples are interchangeable which means you can buy a different flow as your baby gets older; (2) this bottle is only 3 parts with a wide mouth which makes it easy to clean; (3) it has both ounces and mL on the bottle which makes it easy for measuring; and (4) the bottle is a pretty pink color which makes it easily distinguishable from other bottles.
Overall, I would recommend this bottle to mamas to try for their baby even though it wasn’t my little one’s favorite.

Simple changes could make this a 5 star product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bottle is wonderful! My baby loves it, I love that it is easy to use and easy to wash. My biggest gripe is that there is no cap for transporting it in the diaper bag and the thought of spilling my milk just makes me cringe! It’s just such a simple change and makes me not have these as my main bottles because on days that we travel for holidays or just visiting family I can’t bring these bottles. The nipple for the bottle is awesome, my baby never chokes or gags because it is self-paced. Very nice bottle, but just missing the caps that could make them travel friendly! I received this bottle set for free from Stellar Product Testing panel for review.

Great Breastfed Bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle set, it definitely was a hit in my household! I am a stay at home parent and my 5-month-old only gets a bottle on occasion as I primarily breastfeed.
The overall design of the bottle was very easy for both my baby and I to hold as it was a chunkier style and I liked how light it was. Both the nipple and bottle are wide just like a breast. I used the nipple flow 4 with my 5-month-old and she seemed to handle the flow quite well. We did not have any gas issues after feeding either. The bottle has only four parts (including the bottle nipple cover) which makes it quite easy to clean and put back together.
On a side note, my husband liked that the bottle allowed him to feed our child with only one hand while having the other hand free to do other things!
Overall, I gave this bottle set 4 stars because it worked really well with my breastfed baby and it was an easy bottle to use as a caregiver. If I had to nitpick one thing it would be that the material of the bottle felt thin.

A must have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to stellar testing panel I was able to review these items and I have to say these are great for a breast fed baby my son took these and absolutely loves them especially how he is able to control the pace of his feedings just as if here breast feeding. The bottle is super easy to clean there’s no extra parts to wash just the nipple and bottle. Overall this is such a great bottle for first time or any mom struggling to find a bottle that their baby will take.

Great Bottle for our Gassy Little One

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 9oz bottles as part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel, and if I need additional bottles, I'll definitely be buying more. The shape and ergonomics make it incredibly easy use whether I was holding my son, or trying to get a dream feed in. Also, worth noting is the lack of gas I need to address after feeding. It's hard enough to deal with acid reflux, and add the gas on top of it, and I'm in for a rough night, but these bottles are getting me back to sleep faster after feedings.
The bottles are comfortable to hold in any position, and my son is able to latch onto the nipples easily. Due to the shape, he's able to attain a good latch and easily drinks. The bottles have a wide mouth, which helps with cleaning.
I am pleased with the performance of the bottles. They have reduced gas intake and improved latching, and I'd recommend them if you're in the market for a new set.

Simple but efficient and leak proof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried just about every bottle on the market after having two NICU babies with some type of oral motor issues and two exclusively pumping journeys. So I was excited to be given this baby bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall I was pleased with this bottle and it would have been an excellent fit for my oldest but in the end it was not the right fit for our youngest. I’ll list my pros and cons below.
Pros:
Easy to clean, there’s limited pieces and both the bottle and nipple are wide and easy to clean and dry.

Ergonomic design felt natural to grip, for both myself and the baby. I’ve dropped my fair share of bottles trying to manage carrying everything and this just fits well in your hand.
Good latch! My son struggles with forming a good latch on the other anticolic bottles. He always has a little bit of space around his lips with flat bottle nipples or will collapse the weaker rounded nipples. His latch with this was spot on with a nice rounded lip shape.
Does not leak!!! Honestly, I thought the nipple wasn’t working at first. This is both a pro and a con (But only for us). Other bottle medium flow nipples squirts a steady stream when tilted on its side. This bottle I can hold upside down and shake it and maybe a drop will leak out. However, my son has a high palette (which is why we switched to bottle feeding breastmilk because he couldn’t efficiently nurse) so with this nipple and his high pallet he was really slow at eating and needed more breaks. So if your baby struggles with the actual suction part this may not be the bottle for them. But if your baby likes to flip it over and watch the milk spray out, buy this and save your sanity!

I really only have one true con and that is that because this brand has other similar bottles it can be tricky to find the right replacement nipple. I sent my husband to look for a faster flow and he bought what looked like the same nipple but was slightly narrower. If you read the label correctly you probably won’t make the mistake, but if you’re in a rush…or send someone who doesn’t read the details you might be making multiple trips.
