Great Light, but poor construction...

I recently bought the square wall lantern for a pack patio w/ covering. It worked great. Quality was amazing. Then I bought one to replace my front of house light. Then it rained...and what others have shared is true...it does leak water into the box. And based on my photos, you too will wonder how water got in...

These are very stylish lights that work perfectly with my existing Smarthome setup. I already have 3 Hue hubs and 100+ bulbs around the house. I purchased these for my garage and they look beautiful and connected with no issue to the hub. Highly recommended. I've been getting a lot of great feedback from guests.

My teenage son has been asking for these for months. I had no idea how cool these were! He installed an app to create a light show, has different settings for different moods and set to music all through his iPad! Talk about family fun and entertainment! Beats a video game any time! So happy with these. Oh, and they are practical too. The light is amazing!

No way that this is an outdoor light

I bought nine of these for my new construction house. The electrician put up the first one, and within 24 hours and a single light rainfall, the sealed interior was fogged and had water droplets. Again, this is INSIDE the fixture.
The next day after it dried, there is now dirt inside the glass supposedly sealed fixture, carried from the rain water. See photos. I’m totally disappointed that an outdoor rated light from Hue can’t last 24 hours and a single rainfall. All have to go back.

We're sorry you experienced an issue with our Econic light. It is indeed intended for use outdoors and has a listing of "protection against objects bigger than 1 mm,protection from splashed water". Perhaps there was an issue with the one light that you installed? From your photos, it looks like a seal may have been broken or one side of the light wasn't secured. We would have happily replaced that light. Please let us know if you would like to try Econic again and we'll take care of any product performance issues.
