This will complete our mowing requirements. We have greenworks 48v battery operated mower and we are completely satisfied with that product.
With that confidence we bought this blower. As of now there are no issues with this item

Great concept, poor performance
on July 1, 2022

First, the good news: the mower is fairly quiet and lightweight, so it's easy to work with. The bad news is that the battery performance is terrible. My lawn is about a half acre and it takes three charges to mow it, which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take almost two hours to fully charge them. The description says that the batteries take 40 minutes to charge, which isn't even close to the actual time. Because of this, completing a job that would take an hour with a gas mower takes five hours with this one. And, yes, I mow when the grass is dry, rarely use the self propelled feature (why did I pay for it if I shouldn't use it?) and keep the cut length set to high. Really disappointed in this product.

Hello Jim05482,

Sorry to hear you are not happy with the charge time. Please allow us the opportunity to clarify the charge time vs the runtime.

Runtime: Up to 45m.
Charge Time: 75m per 24V Battery (5.0 Ah battery)

Hope this helps!

Hello BrentF,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower.
It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! This unit is advertised as running up to 45 minutes, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains.
Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed.
We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Terrible Line Feeder
on September 28, 2022
Posted by: JLH4119
The bump feed gets stuck routinely and the strength of the tool is fairly weak. I gave it one season to win me over, but it never did. I will be purchasing a new trimmer next year.
Response from greenworkstools.comBy GreenworksCustomer CareSeptember 29, 2022
Hello JLH4119,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with this product. We are concerned to read that you are feeling let down and that the unit has not fully met your expectations. Bump feed getting stuck, check that the guard is cleared of debris. Build up debris on the underside of the guard may prevent the line from cutting at its full potential. Ensure the cutting blade located on the underside of the guard is exposed, clean and clear of debris. If the blade is dull sharpen or replace the cutting blade. This will allow your trimmer line to work more effectively.
We hope this tip helps! If you would like us to support you before you make the decision to return it, please get in touch with us directly at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). We look forward to hearing from you.
