greenworks 40 volt blower

Hello Greenworks power tools ,
after purchasing your 46cm push mower we decided to go back and visit the local dealer Dean and check out the 40 volt blower bare skin range
What a difference and airspeed compared to our 2 stroke petrol blower ,
wow no continuous pull starting or fuel leaking all over you whilst playing with full all or half choke then working the accelerator trying to find that happy sweat working zone .
WE were both blown away with the greenworks 40 volt blower not only did the battery from the 40 volt mower fit it lasted over 20 mins with 4.0 am/hr battery ,
We started at the front driveway blowing all the leaves onto the garden beds some 15 metres .We then blew down the front nature strip edging onto the lawn, then front bitumen and front verandah area before we then procced to all rear paths and concrete areas some 18 x 3 metre area and still had one bar left on our battery after mowing front and rear lawn areas on 749 mt sq block
This tool responds as soon as the trigger or thumb control beside top handle is moved with little effort , we also enjoyed blowing out our rear sunroom 6x6 mt area without filling the room with two stroke smoke and fumes .
The speed of this blower is more than our home lite 26 cc blower that always leaked 2 stroke fuel and mind of its own to start .
We now enjoy not having to purchase 2 stroke oil or mix the correct oil/fuel ratio
or carry mixed fuel in separate containers for each petrol power tool .
well done greenworks on such a light east to use powerful blower looking forward to more tools in this range

Assembly was a piece of cake.
Thankfully we had a rare beautiful day in the middle of November and I wanted to give my yard one last trim before winter came. I was able to mow my entire lawn, trim the edges and leaf blow the area within one hour with ease. The tools were lightweight, had great mobility and control plus were powerful enough to get the job done comfortably.

I love this mower bundle! The mower works amazingly! My mower died last year and I wasn't able to get a new mower at the time so the grass was pretty tall. It cut all of it down with ease. The weed Wacker is equally as wonderful and cuts through tough thick straw blades. I haven't had a chance to use the leaf blower but I'm sure ots just as amazing.

Mowing with ease

I am almost 70 and this is my 1st exposure to battery operated mowers. I love the experience. Have had almost 2 months. Effortless starting, battery removal is easy for charging, comfortable handles with easy adjusting, manual or self propelled options is a plus as pushing is easy and this extends battery time. Mower handles my thick and sort of long grass. The battery time is more than enough for my needs and I mow more lawn area than with my previous gas powered. Great maneuvering around a variety of smaller areas/obstacles on property. It comes with bag but I have not used yet as also has side discharge. I was afraid the plastic parts might be fragile but so far no issues! I love this mower and my son has already purchased several additional green works battery operated tools. I only wish I had left the gas mowers behind long ago!

The mower itself works very well. Nice broad cutting deck gets a nice even cut. Very quiet. However, I'm disappointed in the battery life. Batteries charged to maximum in the charging deck only show two of three bars when in the mower. Mowing time between all four batteries is also only at about half an hour - which gets me less than halfway through my yard.

This unit is advertised as running up to 70 minutes of run-time* with 4 fully charged 4.0 Ah USB Batteries. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.

I bought this one month ago to move our 1/8 acer lawn. It works great. we especially got fir our 9 and 12 year old sons because they have a connective tissue disorder and low muscle tone. it is a great product for them to use.
