More convenient than a gas trimmer

Purchased this along with an 10" Greenworks string trimmer to take care of a one acre colonial era cemetery in Connecticut. Works well around all the gravestones and shrubbery. Already have replaced the string spool due to my heavy usage of the trimmer. Also bought a 3 pack of Greenworks replacement spools since I knew I was going to be doing a lot of trimming this year. Found it simple to install the replacement spool. A lot easier to carry around a large area than a heavy gas trimmer since I'm 63 years old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Self propelled died after one use

I have had this lawnmower for 2 days. First day it cut the backyard beautiful and I was excited for the self propelled function. The next the self propelled doesn't work and I've been on hold for and hour with customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry that you are having an issue with one of our products! With the spring season here, so is our busiest time of year which unfortunately means increased wait times. To start we would advise that you activate the motor for the blade before you activate the self-propelled feature.
1. Start the machine.
2. While you hold the start handles, grab either of the drive levers and pull towards the handle bar.
3. Hold the start handles and the drive levers at the same time.
4. Release either set of start handle and drive lever from the same side.
5. Adjust the speed control with your free hand. • Slide the speed control button in the direction of the Rabbit Symbol to increase the speed. • Pull the speed control button in the direction of the Turtle Symbol to decrease the speed.
6. Release the drive levers to close the self-propel system.
Hoping this was maybe a misstep and will be able to correct with these instructions. Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please feel speak to Greenworks Customer Care at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

Love it!

This is my first ever electric lawn mower, and it has been fantastic. The charge lasts long enough to cover my entire .25 acre lawn, and the batteries are easy to pop in and out to recharge. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Great mower/blower and trimmer

I purchased the bundle deal. at first, I was nervous to buy this, b/c the deal was too good to be true. But I gave it a chance. Once I purchase this bundle, I was amazed on how fast it came to my house, less than a week from ordering. I received all 3 boxes, all in great condition, I start to charge the batteries right away and the next day was the test. Compare to my gas mower vs. the electric I was really amazed on how smooth the push was, the cut was strong, and the noise level was much quieter than the gas mower. For sure a great experience., I was able to listen to my music too, compared to my gas mower, I'm not able to hear anything on how loud it is. After reading a lot of bad comments on the battery life, i was really surprised on how long lasting my batteries was and still are, I have 2 24V batteries, I cut my whole yard, trim the edges and blow everything and I still have battery life left, my property size is 1/4 of an acre it not much but the mower does its job.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Loving this Mower

I’ve had this mower for about a month now, have used it four times and really impressed with how easy it is to use, maintain and store. I recommend this mower if you have a smaller yard, 1/4 to 1/3 acre and want to avoid the smell and mess of using gasoline, oil, pull-start engines etc. at an affordable price. I’m looking at maybe a Greenworks chainsaw next for light trimming and cutting around the home. We’ll done Greeneworks! This is my first experience with your products and you nailed it.

can't get 15 minutes out of it after 5 months

I used a gas mower before using an electric and could mow my whole lawn front and back no problem. when I got this one I had to do the front and back separate because it wouldn't last long enough. I bought this in March and now in August I can't even cut half my front lawn which is very small. would not recommended buying this unless you have a very tiny yard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This unit is advertised as running up to 70 min. (w/ included batteries). It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. Using the self-propelled feature will reduce the runtime by half.
