I have two Pro 80V AH Lithium-ion batteries which I use on a chainsaw and a trimmer. They last about as long as it takes for a depleted one to recharge, so I can use my chainsaw continuously if I am near an electrical source. In the woods the two of them give me about 40 minutes of sawing, which is about as much as I want to do at one session.
I have several, well now many, Greenworks 80v tools. And I have several batteries to use with them, ranging from 2.0amp to 4amp (NEED/WANT 5amp one). I really want a dual 4-5amp electric snowthrower, the little 80v one is a champ and gets 80% of my snow throwing business... With that said. The 80v Power Inverter is perfect to have around for power outages, or just to plug in stuff near where you want to work around the house and don't want to bother with an extension cord. Of course, power output is limited to your batteries' capability - but it works great for all sorts of stuff. Plus, a couple USB ports make it handy for charging phones and stuff on camping trips! If you have the batteries already - it might be a handy device for you to have around.
I tired this on several items which draw less than 300 watts, but they would not work properly. My Starlink would not start (draws 100 watts), my Sony flatscreen TV just emitted a buzzing sound and my small hand drill would not start at all. It would power a 100 watt incandescent light, but that is about all I would trust this device for. I would be very nervous using this with any sensitive or expensive electronic device.

Hello NWWyo,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Sorry to hear of the experience you have had with this tool. This would ultimately depend on the power that is required from the device. To calculate the approximate run time in hours for a product, you have to divide the watt-hour rating of the battery that the inverter will be using (sold separately) by the number of watts that the product(fridge/LED lights) needs to run. We would like to hear more of your experience to do so please email us at info@greeenworkstools.com; include your contact information and a brief description the problems you've been having. We are here to provide you with support and have this look into further.
Product seems to use my 80v battery's life extremely quickly. Just charging a phone one time fully, reduces battery life a third (1 bar). I find it hard to believe that it would use so much of the 80v battery when my old iphone draws mere 5v and has less than 2000mah capacity. It also gets the unit and 80v battery warmer than what I think a 5v draw should be making. But I'm probably not understanding the conversion correctly.
I ordered a second battery as a backup when I'm cutting grass and trimming bushes the same day. With the quick charger, I always have one available now. Love it!
I use this battery to power my green works electric mower. Easily powers the mower through our thick lawn. At medium power the battery lasts a good hour or more.
