I bought the mower with two of these batteries. After one season, the battery could not be charged any more. I had been tried to call, chart, wait for their call back. Non of these worked. They don't pick up phone call (waited for mor than an hour online twice), they put me on calling back list for several hours and live chat on over an hour. One thing worked, that was, after I had the chat where I was given my email, I had received their emails of advertisment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I just bought two of these as I seem to be one of the first people to review this battery on the site here. I have been waiting a long time for a battery amperage size for the 80 volt family to finally be able to cut with a lawn mower on an 1800 square foot property with a house on it with one whole battery (or extremely close depending on the size of the grass). I tested on the 25 inch bed lawnmower with the two blades on it and used two 8.0 ah batteries for testing. After cutting the lawn, I manage to get the entire lawn done with one battery very close (it was about 1-2 feet high in a lot of places for the first mow of the season so some of it didn't quite get done with one battery, it was a bit shorter, then yes) but got into the last 20 x 20 square foot area and start on the second 8.0 ah battery. If the lawn wasn't so long I probably could have finished the entire lawn on just one of these battery (beforehand, I had to use two 4.0 ah batteries, which is the same as one 8.0 ah battery obviously, then go inside to recharge the batteries). After finishing the lawn, I used the second 8.0 ah battery to do weedwacking and got all of it done and the second battery from the mower did not every go down one bar! I have a photo attached also to show how crazy long the 8.0 ah battery pack is compared to a 5.0 ah battery pack and its longer (on the left) since the site here did not show enough photos of the battery so I took one to show how long it is compared to the more common 5.0 or the older style 4.0 batteries with the three lights on it (same size), I could not believe how big these were, but they fit just fine in the Greenworks 2 stage snowblower (that I own and once I put one it, the cover did close no problem) and the 25 inch bed lawnmower, which also fit just fine with the cover completely closing! Although, I think Greenworks is hitting a limit as to how long one of the batteries can be with there tools because I do not think they can make the battery pack much longer before hitting the top of the cover for the more bigger tools that protects the batteries like a lawnmower or snowblower. I did not keep track of time how long it lasted me, but I will say I did not have to take a break like using the old 4.0 ah batteries like before to recharge those batteries for mowing the lawn (I used two of them on the lawn but did not quite finish the whole lawn depending on the length of the grass is, our grass grows very quickly. The length was probably about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours of usage, but it depends on the job your doing with any battery, not just this one, but I will say you can probably do a majority of different jobs on a single battery now on a large property before it has to be recharged.
On the last part of the review, I want to request Greenworks in the future eventually making these 8.0 ah batteries for 80 volt come more standard, bundled with the tools and a charger (make the packs smaller would help with the weight as these are very heavy or battery technology that is more powerful but is more compact meaning less batteries but longer battery life, to fit in a smaller pack size like the new 4.0 ah batteries that started coming out in the past year with the rubber grips on top but the battery pack size is the same as a 2.0 ah battery pack). The biggest issues I have had in general out of inconvenience in the past has been the battery life being too short when using anything less than the 5.0 batteries for doing work on a large property. I feel like were finally getting there with batteries now with a high enough capacity to take on bigger jobs without having to take a break or go inside the house to recharge the batteries sooner. Eventually, I would like to recommend Greenworks should consider discontinuing the 2.0 ah battery line and replace all batteries with 4.0 ah batteries (as the lowest and cheapest battery to get as they are the same size as a 2.0 battery) and more tools should come with 4.0, 8.0 and higher amperages like into the 10 ah or higher up to 20 ah to help with very large properties (but also the pricing on the batteries needs to be cut in half to make it reasonable for people to purchase the tools with the higher battery amperages). If we want to completely remove our dependance away from gasoline tools, we have to make the battery life longer on batteries to finally convince people that they are now as reliable as electric based tools for how long the life on a battery last. I do not own one of the driving lawnmowers from Greenworks, but I know those come with the 4.0 ah batteries and I think those should get replaced with the 8.0 ah batteries, including any other big tools like the 2 stage snowblower, should come with 2 or 3 8.0 ah batteries instead, if the price can remain the same or the battery tech get cheaper with the higher amperage (and the battery packs made smaller with higher amperages), because the 8.0 ah batteries are where it is at for doing work on big properties and using lots of tools for getting work done on a single battery now. We need longer battery life as a bigger focus in my opinion from Greenworks and the 8.0 batteries are finally getting there to tackle jobs longer without a break now! But I would not stop there as I hope 10, 12 up to 20 ah battery packs could be a thing someday to purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought 3 tools and now have 4 batteries. It will be good to charge phones when I camping or when the lights go out.
Very good electric backpack sprayer, saved me a ton of time spraying my smaller food plots and my yard. I would have given 5 stars if you could adjust the flow rate, but I still would recommend to anyone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well enough. It does not quite have the length of use I was hoping for, but can usually get the whole yard done with this and one other.
