[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have multiple greenworks products and have been happy with each but this was a surprise dud. I got the leafblower with the 80v 2.5 ah battery and wish i had known that the expected run time was 12 - 15 minutes. The company should not be selling this battery
Pros: Powerful

Hello Bagman55. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery. The run time varies depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use. Essentially a larger battery will work without issue, a smaller batter is a preference for a power to weight ratio story, you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery. Hope this information helpful. If you require any additional support or have questions regarding a product, we urge you to try our Q&A section on product's page. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those who are wondering, the First generation 80V batteries:
5Ah battery weighs 2595 grams (5.72 pounds) and is 212mm (8 3/8 inches) 2Ah battery weighs 1622 grams (3.57 pounds) and is 163mm (6 3/4 inches)
I'm looking forward to the new generation 4Ah batteries I just purchased. No size and weight specs available but in the photos 4Ah seem to be the same length as 2Ah.
I bought 3 of these bikes. The bikes themselves are good quality bikes but the battery life is way too low. I want to order a 8ah battery but from what I have researched you cannot because you won't be able to close the battery compartment. Several of my buddies bought e bikes and mine dies everytime we ride and everyone else's battery lives are more than half when mine dies. Now I own 3 of these all with the same issue. Not happy at all. Hope someone will reach out to me with a solution. Thanks
Pros: Quiet

Hello RP2024. We are happy to hear you are happy with the bike and its quality. Yes, you are correct, due to size, an 8Ah battery will prevent the battery compartment from closing. We recommend using only a 4Ah or 5Ah 80V batteries. We hope this clarification helps. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the run time you are getting with the battery. User can ride up to 22 miles on a single charge with a 4Ah battery, please note weight and terrain dependent. We would be happy to investigate the run time you are getting with the included battery please start a Live chat on (www.greenworkstools.com) or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 all we ask is you have the battery and charger on hand at the time of the call.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 of these batteries and both of them no longer function. The 1st lasted only 1 year and the second died after 2 years. Wouldn’t recommend!

Hello Short life
We are sorry to hear of your experience with the 80V battery & charger. To charge the battery, plug the charger into an AC power outlet. Insert the battery into the charger. Please take a moment to review the included video providing details how to charge the battery.
This is a diagnostic charger. The Charger LED Lights will illuminate in specific order to communicate. the current battery status. They are as follows: Blinking Green > Charging. Solid Green > Fully Charged. Solid Red Over > Temperature. Blinking Red > Charging Fault.
A green flashing light indicates that the battery is charging. A solid green light indicates that the battery is fully charged. Flashing red - fault. False Defect Note: When the battery is inserted into the charger, and the status LED flashes, remove the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinsert. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, remove the battery pack and unplug the charger. Wait 1 minute and plug the charger back in and reinsert the battery pack. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, then the battery pack may mean a faulty battery and needs to be replaced. Solid red means that the battery is at the wrong temperature to be charged (too hot or too cold). Bring the battery and charger indoors for about 15 minutes before trying to charge again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Greenworks 80V battery has been a game-changer for my yard work! It’s incredibly long-lasting, giving me plenty of power to handle all my tasks without needing a recharge. I use it primarily as a backup for my blower, and it’s been the perfect solution for when I need extended run time. The battery charges quickly, holds its charge well, and provides consistent power throughout use. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, durable backup battery for their Greenworks tools!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this battery a month ago and I’m so happy with it. I can now mow my one and a half acres with this replacement battery and the one that came with my lawnmower are used to have to stop Halfway through and recharge. It works great! I don’t know how I lived without it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great, but the 4.0Ah battery died after just a few uses. Working with Greenworks to fix this.
I have a mower, trimmer and blower in 80V already, so this was a great addition. Using is very simple and it does a great job. I'm glad I had the others already since this battery didn't last at all. I assume it was just a bad battery and hopefully that will get resolved.
