[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to learn that Greenworks sold renewed batteries. When they offered an 80v for sale at a great price, I bought one. I have been using it on a regular basis in my 18” chainsaw and it has performed beautifully. It has the same charge life as my new batteries and recharges as quickly as they do. I highly recommend renewed Greenworks batteries.

Pros: Quiet

Hello YOdin.
There are several factors can influence the actual runtime of your battery when using a string trimmer:
Trimmer Line Thickness: Thicker lines (e.g., 0.105") require more power to spin than thinner ones (e.g., 0.080"), which can significantly reduce battery life. We recommend using the trimmer line size specified in the user manual for optimal performance and efficiency.
Power Level Settings: Running the trimmer at higher speed or power settings uses more energy and shortens runtime.
Workload and Conditions: Trimming dense, tall, or overgrown vegetation puts a greater load on the motor, leading to faster battery drain.
Trimming Technique: Operating at full throttle continuously will deplete the battery quickly. Using a lighter touch or “feathering” the trigger can help extend runtime (as noted by Pro Tool Reviews).
Battery Age and Health: Lithium-ion batteries degrade over time, which naturally results in shorter runtimes as the battery ages.
If you’re consistently running out of battery before completing your work, consider keeping a backup battery on hand or adjusting your trimming habits to help maximize efficiency.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw cuts good for the 20 Minutes it runs on a full battery, then you have to wait 60+ minutes for it to recharge Battery gets very hot and will not charge until it cools off Can these batteries explode form heat ? I would not recommend this saw if you have to use for more then 25 minutes of work with it.

Hello Willie F.
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. Please note that the batteries will need time to cool down before charging. The cooling time may vary depending on how much heat was generated during use. The recommended battery storage temperature range 32°F (0°C) - 113°F (45°C). Battery discharging temperature range 32°F (0°C) - 113°F (45°C). This information can also be found in the user manual. Outdoor temperatures can also impact battery performance. Using the unit in extreme heat can cause the battery to overheat and drain more quickly. Store the unit cold, keep in the shade when possible, during use. This will help maximize runtime before overheating in hot environments. We hope you will find this information useful. Should you require further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us via Live Chat on our website at www.greenworkstools.com, or by calling us directly at 1-888-909-6757.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had few of these, they perform really well. Looking to upgrade to the 80V 8.0Ah but not in stock currently.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have reviewed Greenworks 80 Volt products before... We dropped gas powered lawn tools in 2018 and have never looked back... We have paid for our tools many times over in gas price alone... These are great tools and more than 7 years later I am the proof...
