Easy to use and great app.

First I tried it in the basement,
With a pellet rifle, then outdoors with a handgun and rifle. The thing worked flawlessly, like it for size and ease of use. This unit is replacing a large chronograph that gave headaches just trying to aim it correctly.

I finally bit the bullet (no pun intended,) and bought the Xero C1 Pro. I don't know why I waited so long. This thing is great. Easy to set up and use, it's really made analyzing my load data super easy, especially with the app. My only complaint is the difficulty downloading all the data at once, rather than one session at a time. Otherwise, this little gadget is a God send.

Used a few times. All good except for the clunky process to start a new session using the same bullet weight. Have worked through three different chronos and this is the best and easiest to use so far.

Easy to use and sets up in seconds! No more POI shifts!

Tracks shots every time. A great tool for our rifle club to test ammo on our 22lr and airgun club matches. Helps minimize guess work on bad wind calls vs inconsistent ammo. Correction, it did miss one measurement of 50 shots today 5/18/24, very rare but it happens.
It picks up shots so well, it may pick up your neighbor's shots 4-5 feet away next bench over. Just tilt it towards your rifle very slightly to minimize picking up other peoples speeds.
Comes with a tripod to set to the side of the rifle and behind the muzzle. No more accidental chronograph injuries. You can also purchase an ARCA rail that mounts perpendicular to your rifle. The unit will warn you if it detects motion before capturing the shot. Not sure if they will warrant the product if damaged from recoil when mounted to the rifle.
Been using other chronographs in the past such as the Competition Electronics which is light/shadow based and the FX pocket chronograph (Doppler based) which has their limitations. The light based chrono usually has sensitivity issues capturing the shot with small projectiles such as 22lr or .177pellets. The FX pocket chronograph has velocity limits of 1110fps and batteries drain fast. The newest FX pocket chronograph has higher fps limits to 1250fps. Since it typically hangs on the barrel to read properly, it will cause point of impact POI shifts and change barrel harmonics while testing.
This Garmin can go up to 5000fps, however it does ask you to choose the velocity ranges, im guessing its to optimize their measurement accuracy and minimize error. If you don't choose the right range, it will not pick up the shot when we tested it the other day. It does not have the speech feature to read off the speed after each shot, but hopefully they can add that to the app through synching.
Overall very pleased with this Chronograph. Aside from missing the Ballistics Coefficient calculation and measuring various velocities at downrange distances, it's got the best of most worlds of chronographs, small, simple, Doppler based, portable, better battery life, rechargeable, has a screen and easy to use!

The Xero C1 is amazing. It takes all the work out of setting up and the tedious calculations that my previous chrony required. I could not be happier with my purchase. I would recommend this device to anyone who is truly interested in developing accurate data for reloading.

What can I say, picks up .22 to 0.308 without a problem, even has no false alarms when shooting close to another lane. No mucking about with a chrono in front of the firing point!

Amazingly simple and precise!

I have used this chrono for a few weeks now. I have used it along side of rifles and pistols ranging from suppressed .22lr to 6.5 creedmoor. It has not missed a shot! No aiming device needed, no light bars, no wires, no huge form factor! It's extremely intuitive, and I had it setup without instructions within a minute. Connects very well with the app, and no you don't need to use the app in order to view your data. Highly recommend for any precision shooter or hunter!
