Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chrono

This is a great and compact chrono for shooting or archery. Small enough to fit in a range bag or pack. Seems to have great consistency and provides the information needed and expected. At this time I do not have any negatives and this would be well suited for anyone at any experience level.

Enormous features in a small package

If you are a shooter that uses magnified optics, you will at some point need to know some ballistics data. Before this product, the chronographs out there were big, bulky, complicated and expensive. SOMEHOW Garmin successfully dealt with all those draw backs in this one little package. Accurate. Easy to use, Packs up nice and small and at a very reasonable price - there is a reason this is one of the fastest growing accessories for serious shooters. After a 3-day Precision Rifle Course in NM with Barrett - you see that EACH person there had this same chrono, including the instructors in the course. If you are taking a class like that from a company like that and it is THEIR gold standard - that should tell you something.

Using Comes As Second Nature

Having other types of chronographs--and their time consuming set-ups--I've found this so simple to use. So far I've only used it on three rifles; 270 Win, 375 H&H, and 338 Lapua Magnum Ackley Improved at speeds from 2709 to 3410 feet per second. My Xero's gotten everything down. Like the others I so have to remember to turnit on!

Chrono Made easy

So when this was released I was skeptical. But after talking to a few buddies they were really happy with it. So i decided to borrow a friends before i purchased my own.
After testing it with 5 diffrent rifles and probably 2 dozen varies loads I found it to be awesome. Easy to use, the app is easy to organize. And a data nerd like me really loved the export feature for excel.

Garmin Xero C1

I’ve used the C1 twice now. Incredibly easy to set up, use, and read. So easy I didn’t even have to read the manual. Even worked with .22lr ammo. Never had a hiccup and caught every round nearly instantly. Pairing to the app was seamless.

Very fun, loe the data

This is a great tool, especially if you reload. Seeing the data has been fun, it took a bit of trial and error for me to understand it all, but now that I figured it out it is pretty intuative. this is a pretty niche item, but if you are in the market for a Chronograph, it is a great option.

Easy Set up, Portable, Accurate

I was on the fence about getting this for a while. I finally made the purchase and couldn't be happier with it. I had an old pro shot chronograph before this and it was always a pain to set up at the public range. Measure out 10ft, make sure the target and sensor are inline with the bore and hope a gust of wind doesn't blow it over. With the Garmin, I put it on the bench right next to the firearm I want chrono graphed, plug in bullet weight and approximate Feet Per Second (FPS) and shoot. This will give you the FPS, keep track of the number of shots, and your standard deviation. The only negative that I have to say about it is that it needs a few seconds between shots but that's a minor gripe. I would highly recommend this to anybody who is serious about developing reloads for their firearms.

Proved it’s place in my set of tools for shooting!

Great device! I bought the Xero C1 Pro Chronograph a couple of weeks ago. I spent a Saturday afternoon shooting rifles and crossbows to find velocity and how they will determine ballistics and other characteristics of the items I was shooting.
The C1 was easy to use and it function as advertised. I used it with the app on my phone and found it easy to setup and easy to operate. The information was easy to save for later reminders. I was extremely happy I had purchased it. I will be using it every time I go to the range. It is so easy to carry and operate. I only had one shot out of a hundred or so that did not record the information. It was my fault I had it outside the perimeters for placement. It is a magnificent device and I’ll never be without it again. The easiness of operation will retire my old chronograph.
One area I was really eager to use it in was my crossbow. Determining velocity is absolutely necessary to set the scope for various ranges for accurate shot placement. The Doppler device made it so easy.
