His chronograph is easy and convent to setup and use. I have used it with a variety of rifles and with archery equipment. I wish there was a way to combine shot strings so I could collect and combine lots of data over time for a specific load in a specific rifle.
I used a friend's shooting on a range upto 940 meters. When we started shooting at 0800 the temperature was 13 degrees Celsius by the middle of the day it was 26 degrees Celsius. As I moved from 120 meters to 295 meter targets the temperature was changing with 26 degrees Celsius when we were engaging 600 meters and beyond. The conigraph I checked with my spotters and plugged that in along with the kestrel data, worked great for 1st shot hits on the targets. I bought one the next day and have used it to even test shotgun loads. Telling a friend about it, we tested his compound bow shots, it worked. This will aways be in my range bag from now on. Can't explain how happy I am with the Garmin, quick set up, lays on the ground pad while I'm shooting and if I get a low reading from a round sent down range, I know where to look or I know why I hit low. Great product Garmin, easy for an Oldman like me to use.
I bought this a month after it was launched. Had a hard time finding one but hit Scheels at right time. Waited to give a reveiw until I had chance to use it a lot. Compaired to my magnitospeed sporter both are great chronographs . The garmin chronograph is way easier to set up and use . The magnitospeed was more time consuming to set up even more with suppressors. I didnt like mounting off barrel so made a mount off gun which made set up more time consuming. Labradar just launched their new compacted units has a few more features but not a game killer maybe garmin can add then in a software update. But love it the way it is gives me more range time .
This is the next generation of chronographs. Makes all the popular old ones obsolete. The menus are intuitive and simple, the unit is very compact and works reliably and accurately.
Compact, easy to set up and use. I'm loving this chrono so far. It's an amazing piece of technology packed into a small and relatively inexpensive package
