Well worth the money.

Recently purchased this after recommendations from friends and some research. Super easy to use and extremely reliable. I tested it with a known load and rifle I had chronographed with two other chrono's and instantly got accurate results within 3 FPS of expected. Also got better and more consistent SD data. Highly recommend!

No more POI shift doing load development
on July 4, 2024

After owning several chronographs, the Garmin is by far the best I have used. Coming from a barrel mounted unit, doing load development took several extra rounds due to POI shift. I shot the Garmin yesterday from .22 suppressed through .260 Remington and she never missed a round. Size, ease of use and battery life are all additional bonuses to this unit. Trust me, just buy it.

Easily paired to the app on my phone for convenience and instant access. Amazing accuracy as compared to previously used chronos.
Love the quick start and short learning curve. The screen is intuitive to navigate. All data transfers seamlessly to my phone.
Beginning or advanced reloaded will love the simplicity. Check out the Hornady Podcast's episode on the Garmin.
Must have for reloaders seeking precision.

This is the Chronograph to Beat
on July 4, 2024

I've owned several chronographs over the years, including the torch bearer of ballisticians: the Oehler 35P. Each chronograph has had its strengths and weaknesses, but most suffer from the same problem: portability. Even the LabRadar-which seemed like the paragon of portability when it came out-was a chore to lug around.
Not so with the Garmin Xero C1 Pro. This has the competition soundly whipped, and it's the chronograph to beat. And it's going to take a lot to beat it.
First of all: it's tiny, and it's a featherweight. That means that it'll tuck in the corner of your range bag without your even knowing that it's there.
But it gets even better. The menu is intuitive and takes about 10 seconds to master, and it provides an impressive breadth of functionality without overwhelming you. Starting a new shooting session only takes a few seconds, and once you're up and running it's easy to glance down and see the statistics for your last shot.
The bluetooth integration with the phone app seemed silly to me at first, but it's turned out to be one of the most useful functions. With this I can easily review my range session, make notes about the gun and ammunition that I used, and generally do a much better job of keeping tabs on my shooting.
Charging by USB-C is brilliant. And even after a long day of shooting, I've yet to run the battery down to less than 50%.
I'm so impressed with this, that the only suggestion I can offer is this: if you shoot a lot of handgun (which I do), you'll want to invest in some sort of small compact tripod, as the tiny tripod that's included isn't quite enough. I use a GoPro MAX Grip tripod with mine, which only takes me a second or two to setup. Of course, if you're shooting in a manner that keeps the weapon closer to the bench, then the included tripod will probably be fine.

Works every time without any hassle. Only reason to deduct a star is the plastic feels cheap. For the money I would like it to feel more durable.

Super easy to use

Bought this chronograph to replace an old style chronograph. This is super easy to carry to the range with you and set up. It also makes the data easier to use. It downloads to your phone in a very useful format. Would definitely recommend.
