This chronograph is amazing! It is small enough to carry in my range bag, it has so many great features, and so user friendly its my constant companion at the range. I should add that when I set it up on my shooting table it really draws a crowd! What a great investment. Next month at the gun club Thanksgiving dinner my yet to be used, three year old, Caldwell chronograph, is being donated to the raffle table!
I was surprised and impressed on how well it works! works very well for determining reloading accuracy or verifying velocity on over-the-shelf ammo. The only con that I would state is the app is not live when shooting. you have to end session to be able to review your results on the application. with that said, you can review everything on the device itself live as you're shooting so it's not that big of a deal. still a wonderful product in my eyes and I'd recommend it to everyone!
I currently own an Oehler 35P. I have owned it for over 30 years. I found out about the Garmin xero C1 pro on YouTube and started to do my research on it. I thought I would purchase one and try it out. I own rifles, handguns, crossbows, and airguns. I have ballistics programs and also reload and make my own arrows. Comparing the Oehler to the Garmin is old technology vs new technology. It takes me 10 to 15 minutes to setup the oehler, and I have to store it in a rifle case, and it barely fits. The Garmin xero is so small and works effectively. I like my oehler but I love this Garmin xero C1 Pro. It fits perfectly in my travel gun case. I'm hoping Garmin continues to update this little jewel.
The unit works very well. Features are mostly easy to use. The instructions are not very detailed and have little explanation. A case or screen protector would be nice, considering the price. I'm pleased with the purchase.
