Finally got the chance to use my C1 chronograph with an air rifle, a 22 long rifle, and a .308. I have a friend with a C1 and we set them both to measure the sessions..The measured difference in velocity was 3 fps or less. a big confidence builder in the unit and excellent information for ballistics.

Great Garmin products

I have been buying Garmin products almost since they started, I have about 8 different GPS’s from them. Every product has proformed perfectly. I know the Garmin Xero c1 pro will work just as great.

Zero C1 Pro not that great

Pros: small, light weight and very packable. Very easy startup and menu is easy to navigate, good display, good battery life
Cons: expensive for what you get, no case of any kind, optional clamp mount would be nice. Isn’t water or dust rated. And big complaint is it is not compatible with the AB Quantum app

Easiest chrono to set up and use

Easy set up, just push a few buttons, set the chrono on the bench and shoot. The app along with the chrono helps keep data organized between guns. The only reason for a 9ninstead of a 10 rating is due to this version not letting you go back to sessions so if you're collecting data in 2 different rifles you can't swap between them while one barrel cools. I haven't tried down range mode yet but plan to the next time I'm at the range.

I got this Chrono around Christmas time and have loved it. Using this unit along with the Garmin App has made viewing the data very easy. Being able to figure out that Hornady Match has an extreme spread of 68fps and a standard deviation of around 20fps. For shooting long range or developing custom hand loads for a rifle this is an absolute must. It helps take the guess work out of flyers when shooting! Takes up very little space for the amount of data it can provide you.
