I Couldn't Be Happier With My Garmin C1 Pro

I purchased my Garmin a month ago am pleasantly surprised at how user friendly and accurate it is.
I had owned 3 traditionally chronograph in the past, all of which required annoying sky screen and tripod set up which took some of the fun out of my shooting experience for the day. After accidently damaging my pre ioue chronograph, I decided to give the C1 Pro a try.
The Pro is so easy to use. Once powered up, all you need to do is select type of firearm, velocity range, bullet weight, place the unit with the screen facing you to begin your session. Refer to manual for placement of firearm in relation to unit.
I highly recommend this unit fir it's ease of use and accuracy.

Compact,easy to bring with you and set up takes seconds. Very accurate. Works as advertised. I have been extremely satisfied so far. The alignment of chronograph is very forgiving.

I am a complete noob to bolt action rifles. I took a 1 day class with a guy that does long range. We chrono'd my Rifle that had never been shot. super easy just set it up next to it. by the end of my 8 hour class I was hitting targets out to 1000 yds. The speeds it gave correlated well with the ballistic calculator. I just got a little assistance with wind correction with my instructor but the adjusts on the scope were spot on. Without the true velocity I don't think it would have gone as well. I went from no shooting experience to zeroing, chrono-ing, and hitting targets at 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 yards out with just 45 rounds. We borrowed it. I will be purchasing one as soon as I can get a deep discount.

Have a couple other brand chronographs and this Garmin unit is far superior to the others I have tried. Easy to use and consistent readings.

I have seen a lot of people use these and have been around them for a while while shooting PRS. I figured why not with the amazing Expertvoice discount than to just get my own. Hands down the best decision I made!this has got to be the easiest thing in the world to use, it's super compact and easy to keep in your gear bag. Set it up, shoot a stage and put it back. Have all your data right on your Garmin app.
Don't hesitate about buying one. You won't be disappointed!

I'll start by saying I have had an old Shooting Chrony for 25 years or so. This is by far one of the best shooting purchases I have made in a long time. There is no fidgeting with the screens, fighting lighting conditions or general setup. You literally turn this on, enter a few parameters, point it towards the target next to your gun and shoot. I have used a dozen or so times and it has not missed a shot. Battery life is good as I charged it when I got it and have not charged it since. It is small and fits perfectly in my Springfield padded case that came with my gun. The ShotView app works well and syncs up quickly when you end a session. If you are on the fence, BUY IT!! I have zero regret except I didn't buy it sooner.

I've used a few other chronographs but, the Garmin Xero is simply the best consumer chronograph on the market! It uses radar which means it can sit next to your gun/bow/air rifle as opposed to in front/in the path of the projectile. This means at public ranges you don't have to wait for the line to go cold. It also means it doesn't need to be aligned super accurately, just pointed in the right direction. You also don't have to worry about shooting it!
It's simple to set-up, catches every round without miss and the app works flawlessly. Battery life is great and when it does need charging, it uses USB-C and not some proprietary plug. It's also super compact so it fits in a range bag easily.
I wish it came with a nice fitted carrying case, but there are plenty of cases available for it online.

The only real negative comment I have about is that it doesn't like shotgun rounds. Specifically bird shot. It may do better with slugs and larger shot sizes but, it routinely fails to pick up #8 and #9 shot.
