Chrono For the Range or Field

This chrono has been quick to learn and properly utilize in both the field or a day at the range. I never miss a shot anymore because of the continuous recording and updating directly to the App. My log books have gotten more detailed for reloads, thanks to Garmin

This is a fantastic purchase. I use my Garmin chronograph every time i try a new brand or type of ammo through my guns. The setup is quick and dummy proof. It has great battery life.

I have used this on everything from pellet rifles to 300 Win Mag. I have never once had an error. It is so easy to set up next to my rifles. I am extremely pleased that I upgraded from my old chronograph. Worth the purchase for the ease of set up and reliability. Accuracy is on par with my old chronograph.

A must have for handloaders and bow hunters

I use this device to test out and develop loads for my hunting rifles, as well as to calculate trajectories on work related firearms. It is also very useful for bow hunting applications so I can tune my rig for maximum performance on game. It easily syncs to my phone and allows me to export data for use in ballistic apps and share with professional colleagues as well as my friends/hunting buddies. If you are a marksmen for duty purposes, a reloader or a hunter, you need this chrono.

Excellent, with a couple asterisks

This lives up to the reviews it's received: compact, simple, fairly easy to use. It was easy to test on a 250FPS 1.8 grain airsoft pellet and 2900FPS 1,600 grain 20mm projectile. But, it also has a few things worth noting:
- The Xero C1 and tripod fit nicely in a Pelican Micro 1040 case. An extra piece of foam cuts down on shifting, and there's still room for the cable.
- You can use the device out of the box, but the app requires an internet connection to set up. Make sure to set it up BEFORE you leave on a trip.
- It only tracks a single velocity, so no calculating ballistic coefficient.
- No card slot; CSVs must be exported via the app. You can also connect it to a computer and grab the FIT files to convert with a third-party app (I haven't tried one).
- Unknown difficulty in replacing the battery. Lithiums don't last forever.
