Garmin Xero C1 Chronograph

I got this Chrono for Christmas. This thing is AMAZING!!! Best Chrono I've ever used. I have a light Chrono and a Magnetospeed, and my shooting partner has a Lab Radar. This Xero blows them all away! It does everything I need it to in an easy to use compact unit. I couldn't be more pleased and would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a Chrono.

The best chronograph on the market

I have been using chronographs for shooting since the Oehler days when you had to get lighting and distance right (and took the chance of shooting your chronograph). I have also used the other brand (the orange one) extensively. The Garmin is by far the best and easiest to use. I had continual problems with the orange one, missing shots, connection issues. The Garmin is “set and forget” and it worked with everything I use it for. 6mm ARC up to 50 BMG. Do not waste your money on anything else, but this one and you will be happy with it.

I've had different chronographs over the years, actually shot one. The Labradar was a game changer for me but the Xero C1 Pro is even better. I've only used it once while zeroing my Vudoo 22lr. It picked up every shot and I didn't need a microphone like my Labradar needs. Size is impressive for what it can do. Should definitely advise my fellow shooters this is the one to purchase.

Great unit! App needs work

This unit is light years ahead of other chronographs I've owned. That said, the fact that it connects via bluetooth to your phone would make you think that it should do so much more. I have an old style chrono with a BT connection that has the option to announce the velocity of each shot so you know that it was recorded. My biggest dissapointment is that you can't define the series in the app, only edit the name of series after it's shot.
So you wind up with a bunch of "Pistol, 124.0gr" series. It would be WAY easier if you could define series before you shoot them, adding the relevant cartridge description, firearm, and other details. This could even be done at home to better use range time. Then when you get to the range you simply pull up the series you defined, shoot the rounds and it's all accurately described. As it stands, if you don't edit the series after shooting each, or take good notes, you can easily lose track of what cartridge/firearm combos each series represents.

Simple to set up and put into use

Compared to the screen type chronograph that I have used in the past,the Garmin unit it fast to setup and put into use. Within a minute you can have the Garmin unit at your side and ready to collect data.

The Xero Pro has made it super convenient as well as easy to get all the information needed for reloading ammo or building arrows. It’s definitely a must have tool.
