I have had my C1 Pro out three times after using the original orange Labradar for years. The C1 Pro has been flawless. I like the menu system. Simple. At each outing, I spent several hours at the range, firing over a 100 rounds. The battery lasted each time.
The one thing I would like, and I think it can be done in programming, is for the unit to display the charge level while charging. Not a big deal.
If you have prior chronograph experience at all, this will be very easy for you to operate. Initial setup went quick. The different modes, archery, rifle, etc, are easy to switch between. All in all, works as advertised.
This is a great addition to any range bag. The screen was very easy to read and picked up every shot. I like the Garmin app where I can add notes, and all the details I want with bullet, powder charge, primer etc. I use the notes section to list my range accuracy as well to make it easy to go back to. I don't have any eperience with the other similar products but I can say this Garmin seems like a winner.
The Garmin C1 is nothing short of amazing. It is without a doubt way better than my old orange box chronograph. The ease of use and compact size coupled with the app, simply outperforms anything else.
The only recommendation I would make to Garmin would be an update, allowing users to combine strings of fire or always go back to any string of fire to continue on.
Absolutely great device. Easy to sync with phone, collects data, and automatically gives analysis of data, and stores for future use. Great to have no allignment of device to measure velocity. Very happy with performance.
This thing is money! Charged it, downloaded the app, synced it up, and started a session right out of the box. 40 rifle shots measured without fail, session synced to app, and data saved. Easy to use! Go ahead and get one! Can’t wait to see how it does with archery shots!
