I have used chronographs from many manufacturers. Until recently they all required laborious activity to set them up and align them with the shooting location, chronograph and target. The X1 eliminates those actions. Turn it on, enter some data, place in your shooting bench and commence firing. Your expected information is calculated and is displayed immediately. Fantastic !

First chronograph

Just used this the 1st time last week. It was easy to set up and pair with my smart phone. I tested with factory ammo that had velocity numbers listed on box and the numbers were extremely close to those as listed. Reviewing on my cell was easy. Just be sure to start new session with each different load and put in notes on the cell app. In one session I had very expensive factory ammo blow out five straight primers. I notified factory they paid for return of ammo refunded me and we pleased to know I had the Garmin numbers from the shots. It will be easier to use now take a few learning steps.

Simplicity at its finest

I bought the Garmin Xero c1 to replace my Magnetospeed Sporter. The simple set up and ease of use is unparalleled. The variety of speeds / uses is amazing. I like the fact that I can use this chronograph for my crossbow, rimfire, shotgun, muzzleloader, pistol, and centerfire rifles. The Shotview app that connects with the Xero c1 is convenient and stores all the important data. I also like the size of the entire unit. Several of my friends / fellow shooting club members have one and even reading reviews online, i don't know one person who doesn't like it. Overall I'd purchase another one over and over.

Been using the garmin C1 for a month now and it's been great. No error messages, no missed shots!
Only thing I wish it came with a protective bag or case.
