I've been chrono-ing my reloads for 20 years with a list of major bands. My old routine consists of "Setting up tripod, adjusting, lining up and checking sun shades / wires". Not to mention, the possibility of shooting the chronograph sunshade supports or a missed reading.
Garmin Xero is the size of my palm. Setup consists of powering ON, place the mini tripod/Xero between 5-10" behind the muzzle (left or right side of barrel) and shoot. Xero has not missed a shot reading yet.
XERO will always be part of my shooting routine!

Great chronograph

Works great and simple you use. So much better than my old Caldwell chronograph that you have to setup in front of your rifle and shoot through. Works great chronographing everything from my bow to rifle. Easy to use, simple to setup.

I have owned 5 different chronographs and this unit checks off most of the boxes. I would like to see a few more features like configurable reports and ballistic tables. Regardless there is a lot to be said about a device that fits in your pocket and is so robust that it isn’t thwarted by interference and is so EASY to use and master!!

This Chrono does exactly what is advertised. Easy set-up, no hassle at the range with chrono location, all data transfers to phone at end of session. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing chronograph

In the past, my experience with chronographs involved a bulky device that needed a fairly precise setup out in front of the gun. This Garmin fits in my gun bag and sets up on the bench next to me. Super easy to use, really portable and transmits everything to my phone. Great device!

Had borrowed enough of these to feel guilty. Went ahead and haven't looked back.
Was building a custom load for a 7 SAW and this was awesome. The thing I appreciate about it the most is the compatibility. I do a lot of shooting in real world situations for practice meaning hiking around with all my gear. This being small, light and simple is a god send.
Tested it against a traditional chrono and they were within 30fps. Haven't figured out which is the accurate measurement but it works for my dope on my rifle scopes- so can't complain.
Great little product and worth it for me even though I had access through friends.
