Great quality and design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving my new Staples Micro USB to USB-A charging cable. I’ve been using it to charge portable speakers and PlayStation controllers. The braided cord seems sturdy which I appreciate since my children are often the ones pulling on the cord to release their electronic devices. The cable also charges things quickly so we can get back to having fun fast! I like that there is an attached wrap to keep the cord neatly tucked when not in use. I am not a fan of tangled cords or a mess of cords everywhere. Overall I’m happy with the product. I do wish it came with a charging block so I could have the option of plugging it into a wall socket but I still recommend the product overall. The length of the cord is great - longer than the standard cord that comes with electronic devices. It’s useful for tucking our devices out of the way while still being able to charge them!

Fine cable for older tech

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with the obvious: the connections on this cable are becoming obsolete. While there are still older devices with an extended lifespan (e.g. my bike's front and tail lights) that use Micro USB there are fewer and fewer places to plug in a USB-A. My laptop doesn't support USB-A (USB-C only) and all of my wall charging plugs are USB-C. I do have a USB-A to USB-C converter for older cords but USB-C does seem to be the way of the future. On the packaging itself I wish it were a little more eco-friendly. Since the cable wasn't going to be damaged in transit it felt excessive to have it in a plastic shell and then in a cardboard box – especially since I couldn't find a recycling symbol on the plastic. Out of the packaging I liked that the cord was braided. It felt like it wouldn't immediately split the cord from the connection point as often happens with regular plastic cables. I also felt like a braided cord would be less likely to get grubby – those white plastic ones look gross very quickly. Since I used the cable for charging devices I can't speak to data transfer speeds but my devices did seem to charge speedily enough. I am normally charging devices plugged into a dock at my desk the cord length did seem excessive. If you had a device that you needed to actively use while charging separately from your computer I can see the longer length being nice but for my uses I mostly kept it coiled up using the provided holder. A standout feature: the little rubberized cord wrangler that came with the cord. I wish more cords came with an easy way to keep the cords coiled up and out of the way. If the cord is long it is nice to be able to keep it tidy when not in use.

Awesome cable

The ends feel sturdy and not likely to break off with normal wear and tear. It will be my new favorite charging and transfer cord.

Practical and high quality cord

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t have a ton of use for a type A cord but any time I need one it seems all I can find are the short cheap quality cords that have been included with certain toys or gadgets throughout the years. The staples braided cord is good quality and I appreciate the long length. Perfect for quickly charging my computer’s wireless keyboard and mouse or any of the kids’ toys that require charging. The 6.5 foot length is great to leave plugged in to my charging block to use whenever and wherever it is needed.

Well Designed Cable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Cable_Micro USB to USB-A 2.0 Braided Cable is a very good charging cord. I used it to charge both a PS5 controller and my Kindle. It worked great! The Kindle went from 0% battery life to 100% in just a little over 2 hours. It has a nice little rubber securing band to keep the cord wrapped when not in use that makes it easier to transport and store without it getting all tangled up. It also has a nice long section of hard plastic protecting both ends which I think will extend the life of the cord by protecting those weaker areas from being over bent and fraying like most cords do in time. It is long enough to easily reach from normal table top height to outlet height with room to spare. The braided covering is also a nice touch. It gives it a very nice feel and protective covering. I think it is very well designed and would recommend it if you need anything that uses Micro USB.

Great durable charger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this cable feels nice and strong. It is braided so it will not fray. Everything is connected strongly. I have tried other cables that just felt flimsy. I used this in my bathroom to charge my electric razor. When using other cords I always thought the razor was charged when its light went green. After using this cable my razor light turned blue! I had no idea I wasn’t fulling charging it before with other cables. This was fast good quality and charges to things full capabilities! It’s also a good length. With this being 6 feet I can move about and I don’t feel tied down to the outlet. I will keep using this and recommend it!

6ft Enterprise grade USB to Micro Cable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with the quality of this cable. It is not rubber like most but rather wrapped/braided in what seems to be a tactical fabric. It's a very sturdy cable yet very flexible and while not having had it for longer than a week I can tell will stand the test of time (and abuse). The included rubber cable loop was a nice touch to keep my desk calendar tidy and organized. The length 6 feet long (2 meters) is terrific! I had it plugged into my gaming computer well away from my desk while still having my mp3 player on my desk transferring music. The length is great honestly perhaps the best part of this cable. I also used a wall outlet and charged a wireless mouse. Both uses I had no issues with. Data transfer speeds for sending mp3 files to my player was completed swiftly well into the 100mbit/sec+ we expect from USB or better...I didn't actually use a file transfer program to get metrics. But I transferred an entire CD rip in about 30 seconds no concerns here!

Great cord for cars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our car a few years ago and it does not have USB-C ports just regular USB-A. So sometimes for our Apple iPads newer iPhone or other Android devices to find a cord that has the USB-C is hard unless it’s a direct plug. Our car has one AV outlet so we can be limited in charging devices on road trips (typically my laptop will take priority). This cable gives us the option to charge our other devices in the car. It’s long so it stretches from the center console to the captains chairs and even the third row if necessary. The re-enforced braiding is helpful too for my kids and all the rough pulling that happens in the car. I’m not 100% sure on the charging speed as we used it in the car and the charge is typically slow in general. Overall it’s a great solution for our car trips and good quality.
