This is a well made journal and I love that I can get it locally. A lot of people prefer this off-white paper as it is easy on the eyes. I use a wite-out dispenser so prefer white paper. I would also prefer the paper to be a little but heavier.
I like the size over an A5 or A6 that you might hear a lot about if you are doing a bullet journal. for the money it just didn't seem to make a lot of sense to go for a Luchtern 1917 especially for my first bullet journal that wasn't a discbound Arc journal. The discs just kept getting in the way. The binding is good. The bookmarks are good. The dot size and darkness are great. My issue is with the amount of ghosting and bleeding of the ink through the paper. I'm using Pilot V5 Precision Extra Fine pens mostly and it is just a little too visible on the other side of the paper. It doesn't seem to get in my way however so I'm going to continue with it.
This is my 3 rd purchase of this item. I create a quality planner that I can use as a calendar planner journal and scrap book. The quality is better than all other journals I’ve looked at and that is way into double digits and I won’t use anything else.
