Have been purchasing Moleskin journals and notebooks for years. I was in need of a new larger journal and decided to look at Staples to see what their pricing was. Found the Tru Red journal and I must say its as good as and much less expensive than what I have used in the past. I will definitely purchase these in the future.

I’m really happy with this purchase: the cover feels great to the touch and the elastic band makes it perfect for stuffing into my messenger bag while protecting the sheets from getting crumpled. the journal is narrow ruled no margins except the top. The cover is also stiff yet has flexibility. For me the sense of touch is important for some things like daily planners and journals but uncomplicated yet functional features are also important. This wins on my list.

Overall this book is sturdy and offers exactly what is needed. The four stars is because I wish the paper was thicker than it is. Markings from one page do not bleed to another page but they do however show through.

Formal and Traditional yet Modern

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This journal is a pleasure to use. Having a soft cover that looks to be leather but soft and flexible for easy use and transport. The two markers make it easy to hold your place or to mark a section for review and not have to worry about where you are. The journal looks to be heavy but the paper is thick and light making it very easy to use and professional in appearance. It is great for the home office or to carry to work or to journal entry anything you need whether it be in the gym drawing designs creating appointments or keeping track of expenses for a side business. This journal is easy to write in with pen pencil or marker. It exudes a sense of style in its classic looks but with the dot system and lightweight paper it is modern for the user. I really see it replacing many of my other journals and paper notes as it will be something that is easy to use maintain and give me a much more polished presentation.
