[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This journal was not really practical for all journaling situations. I felt to use it you would have to have a specific purpose...what that purpose is I do not know. It had rip off tabs and doodling pages scattered throughout for goal setting. I feel these pages and rip off tabs should`ve been every 7 days or pages instead of about every 5 pages. This book did not fit my needs at all.

I bought this journal to take notes and keep track of some projects. First of all the quality is very good. It's red so that it will not be misplaced as easily as a black cover. There is a card holder and a pen holder both of which are very useful. The size is good - 5 x 8 - and the paper quality is also heavy enough that the book is not flimsy. There also is an inside front cover pocket! I have a few uses I plan to use this journal book for and I'm sure that I'll think of more as I use the book. There is nothing like writing down notes as opposed to using a cell phone or notebook computer or tablet.

This red journal has all the old specs I need but with a bit better cover featuring red textured binding that has a card-saver cover and a pen loop on the spine. Great way to take notes or journal.

The TRU Red Notebook has two excellent features that we have found set it apart from others; The pen/pencil holder and the receipt and card pockets.

The TRU Red Notebook is the perfect size to have either beside your desk or to put into a backpack or purse. It has high quality paper and the notebook keeps a tight close even when opened up and written on several times.

This is a nice heavyweight notebook. The pen that it came with was nice had good ink did not bleed through pages and wrote smoothly. The pages have a heavy texture and did not bleed through.

Not a huge jourmal/calander/notebook person but I thought I'd give this a shot. It does help me stay on a schedule and serves as a reminder for things I need to do. Its your basic planner with dates. Design is average not a big fan of the red color but it is from Staples so I expect that. My biggest complaint is its a bit narrow and when writing the book is a bit stiff and it wants to close. Makes writing kind of tight. Nothing terrible nothing great
