[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek smooth great size little journal you can take anywhere. Two ribbons for page markers. I really like the dotted pages as opposed to lines. Great for taking notes in different ways or doodling while thinking. Good paper quality and band to keep journal shut. Great for a basic journal.

Nearly perfect grid journal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful classically styled journal with quality features that make it easy for an EDC (every day carry). This journal features a sturdy yet flexible cover (front and back). I use a similar journal but the front and back are hard which I frankly prefer however mine is slightly heavier as a result of the hardcover. You can easily fold this cover back onto it`s self which I can also do with my hardcover version so I think it`s a personal choice. The quality of the interior paper pages feel substantial and the grid is easy to see even in low-light conditions but is not so defined as to be distracting. There are two different colored ribbon bookmarks attached at the top which I find very useful. I can use one to mark a page that I need to return to for some reason (finish a drawing or an unfinished thought) and use the other ribbon to mark the next clean page so when I open the journal I can get right to it. I really like they are different colors so you can identify a specific function for each color (e.g. gray ribbon is pending/unfinished pages and black ribbon is new page). What is missing for me -- and in my opinion keeps it from a perfect rating is a pen or pencil loop. My current journal has this loop and I am forever saved by knowing I don`t have to dig around to find a pen/pencil before using the journal. Often I need to use the journal to jot something down immediately. I know when I need to use it quickly and pull it out of my bag I am ready to go. This Flexi PU journal does not have a pen loop which may also be a personal choice as it adds another 1/2-3/4 inch to the overall width of the journal depending on diameter of your writing instrument.
