The inside of the cover under the soft (cheap feeling) material has some sort of cardboard or hard material. Thus the cover is not truly soft and flexible as I desired. It still stands straight in a partially opened position and gets in the way while the journal is open exactly as a hardcover journal cover would. I’m very disappointed in this journal!

I had a previous notebook that was lined. The dots are better I have no trouble keeping my notes straight while diagrams are much more legible without lines running through them. The cover has a very nice feel. Slightly flexible but still substantial.

Rollerball pen ink bleeds through the thin pages of this product

The paper quality isn’t detailed enough on the product page. A regular pencil or ball point pen will work OK but a rollerball pen bleeds through. This makes it absolutely unusable.
