This cable really cable came in handy to transfer all my pictures from my iPhone to my computer before I reset my iPhone. I needed to make sure I would not lose my photos after the reset. As it turned out the transfer was not necessary but it was a quick safe back-up procedure that allows other family members with access to my icloud to see the pictures as well.
