Bought two of these and one had the metal piece that fits into your phone break in a few weeks while the 2nd broke in a week's time. Just use these to charge at night. Customer Service was great about refunding. Maybe a bad batch. There is a 5 year warranty which they'll honor.

This is a well made cable. I like that it has the special cord that wraps around if you wind in a loose circle so that you DON’T have to use the full 6 feet when you don’t need it.
