Paper suddenly lighter weight

I have been buying these for about 6 years now. The latest batch (while adordably red accented on the top for the holidays) the paper weight itself is suddenly much lighter weight than these used to be. I didn't see in the description that the paper weight was lightened. I used to prefer these pads above all else when the paper weight was 20 lb. 15 is much too light. Likely will need to find a replacement brand as these no longer work for me. Very disappointed. Staples -- can you fix? What happened?

Paper feels cheap and thin not like a more expensive pad. Paper tends to rip off easily at seem just handling so don't plan on keeping it together long term.

I like the narrow ruled pads. However i dont like the top part where the page gets torn off. I prefer the old type pads that were merely glued on top and left a smooth edge when the sheet was trn off
