The envelopes are more economical to use because 1. they are less expensive to use over the stick down type that you pull the tab off. I prefer the pull on the tab type because it is easier and is faster. The pull the tab type are thicker in the envelope area but are too expensive as I am head of a non profit organization and need to save money whenever I am able. Yes & no I would recommend them to a friend.
