These envelopes are the best if you don't need "security" ones. They work really well in the printer for addressing them. I've been fortunate to find them as a very affordable price under $10.00 for just one box.
Great value! I couldnt believe how cheap they were! Who cares if they do not have self stick strips - they are totally worth it! An employee pointed out they didnt have an inside layer to make them opaque for peeking eyes - if anyone wanted to read through the envelope - but I didnt think they were see-through. They are perfectly normal regular general all-purpose envelopes for everyday use.
well I have been buying these for years. Like them just fine. Just dont know why they suddenly cost more ( alot more in my mind) then last year. Only open seasonally so only make major purchases during this time of year seem like they went way up in price? oh well will continue to buiy them here. Glue holds and they are fine quality.
I researched envelopes and prices and finally settled on the staples brand because there are 500 in the box and the price when compared to other envelope brands was the best. The first box I purchased worked well for me and had no problems. I always order the same item number but somewhere along the way I noticed the boxes looked different. That's when I also noticed a quality change. I found that approximately 20-30 envelopes had folds that were not sealed or they had creases that marred the face or the functionality of the envelopes. I continue to buy these envelopes because only of fraction of them are not useable.
I use thousands of these every year and n general they serve the purpose well. Over the years the price has climbed to about 4 times what I paid initially and the quality has deteriorated somewhat. Now there are often (almost always) crazy little spikes or fingers somewhere on the envelope. These are usually concealed once the envelope is closed so the recipient would probably not notice. For a really important function I would likely opt for more elegant envelopes that Staples also carries. For general mailings the envelopes serve the purpose and I suppose the defects result from trying to control the rapidly rising prixces.
