A great product

I like the pocket feature of these folders. However the color makes it difficult to clearly label the tab. I had to paste on a white label and then write the title on the tab.

Poly File Pockets

I got these folders for use in my real estate business. The cost is rather high for them but they work well as folder pockets for my active files. I keep a paper two pocket portfolio file folder for the actual in process paper work and use the poly pockets as a protective sleeve. I've used poly folders before and my major problem is figuring out how to label them for reuse. File labels gum up or dry out and fall off. Erasable markers do just that and permanent markers are permanent. I'm still working on this issue.

I bought them to create a mail system for my husband and I. I wanted something that is pretty productive and will increase efficiency and something that would be so easy to use that the piles of mail on our kitchen table would stop immediately. It did the trick. It's strong and flexible which is great since sometimes it gets stuffed.

Expandable but too Narrow

Good product with limitations. This is a folder POCKET not a file JACKET so it's too narrow to hold a standard manila folder (11 1/8" vs. 11 1/2"). I thought I would slide my manila folder into this poly folder to protect it and make it easier to handle but it doesn't fit. I cut a strip off the manila folder to make it fit but the poly folder should be 3/8" wider. Product description doesn't clearly explain that it expands to 3/4" or 150 sheets of paper. It's somewhat difficult to expand it - had to individually fold and crease all six lines on each one. Since the poly folder only has tabs on left (as pictured) it doesn't file well in a cabinet since all the tabs are on the left side (I'm used to using third-cut tab folders). If I could slide the manila folders into the poly ones (back to that!) then I could read from the manila folder tabs. It's annoying to have to cut the manila folders. The blue and purple colors are so dark they interfere with visibility (orange and green are light enough red is borderline). The product is durable and serviceable as long as the limitations are understood.

Just received... have put them to use and time will tell whether or not "The Price is Right." They appear sturdy so hopefully if the dust is brushed off this response and I'm asked how those folders are doing... I'll be able to give an up-to-date response.
