As a person who loves genealogical research these folders come in handy. It is great to have the documents where they can be found with a limited amount of effort. On a research trip one is often researching several members of the family at a single stop. . . the basics for each subject can be placed in a folder of its own. New findings can be copied and slipped inside for safe keeping for the trip home or for the next stop--whichever comes next. Color coding is useful too. Each family can have its own color or perhaps the colors can best be uysed for different generations.

I cannot stress enough how much I love these!! I had regular manilla folders that were super full and went limp the first really humid day of the year despite being in AC so it just made my desk look awful made it harder to find things quickly and increased the chances of me sending paperwork everywhere when trying to move anything. These plastic pockets can hold a ton AND have the structural integrity to keep things more contained and accessible without making a massive mess. I would be even more obsessed with these if they came in pastels!
