The glue tape seems to work as well as the old design. I'm haven't used it to find out how long it lasts. I like the old designs flip cover better.

I have used/bought these several times in the past - probably 2 times a year perhaps more. Previously I really liked them I do a lot of mailing and it makes sealing envelopes much easier. They apparently have changed the design or manufacturers and it is a significantly poorer product now. The tape does not roll smoothly and requires far more pressure than previously. Also I miss the hinged cap it was impossible to misplace it. I hope Staples returns to the previous design soon - I really liked it!

It was really bad. Hard to use. One of the two units completely malfunctioned. Would not recommend it. We had 130 wedding invitations to seal. We ended up using a damp cloth.

I have been purchasing Staples tape runners for years. Have used several other brands and Staples was my favorite. They have changed them - for the worse! Had a gift card so I purchased several - what a waste of my 'gift'. They don't "run" well at all. The only reason I can imagine for the change is it must have saved Staples money; certainly didn't provide the customer an advantage. Won't ever buy again.

We normally get in the store. But they were out of stock so we ordered from the kiosk. What came was similar but packaged differently. Not a big deal. But when used while functional it was not the same quality in terms of glue "stickiness" as our prior versions. So slightly poorer quality.
