It’s not nearly as good as what it replaced (One Touch?) It doesn’t roll-on as nicely; the cover has to be removed whereas previous version was hinged. Not friendly friendly.
Each year I have approximately 20 Linear Feet (lf.) of Business Check Register - Column Header labels to affix to my "Safeguard Business Systems" Registers. Having used the last of a competitors glue tape I trooped to my local Staples (Napa CA) and purchased your 2-Pack. Around the 18 lf. mark on the first applicator the used tape slipped off the pickup roll bound up on it and became useless. Picked up the second applicator and begun applying the glue only to have the tape bind (at approximately 14”) in such a way (unknown to me) as to feed an excess out of the front of the applicator and stop the tape feed. With no access to wind up the excess tape that applicator also became useless. I returned the 2-Pack to the Napa Store and exchanged it for another Staples 2-pack with which I finished my annual “glue task”. My impression is that the applicator design (like yours and others I have used) is good but that the tolerances of the internal feed mechanism needs too be revisited.
When I first purchased this tape I really didn't think it would solve my problem of putting together mat boards and photographs. I thought it was just another one of those gimmicky products. I must admit it saves me so much time and effort when I frame prints. It does exactly what it says it will do. The difference between the "repositionable" and the "permanent" is so precise it works just like you would want it to. The dispenser is so cleverly made. I only wish they would make refills so that I could save money and that clever dispenser.
