[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve just recently started using watercolor paints, but I’ve only used the type in the tray. I was intrigued by these crayon style watercolor paints. The packaging is simple, but pretty. On the back are the directions, they’re simple, and easy to understand. I appreciate that the inner packaging is also wrapped in plastic, which kept them in place. You receive 8 colors. I call these the classic colors. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, and black. I tried the two application techniques on the back. First I wet the color then used my brush to apply the color. Easy, and I thought the color came out well on paper. The second technique was to dip the color into the water and then apply directly to paper. This for me didn’t work as well as the brush application, but I was still able to apply the color. Each color is encased in a card board holder, so your fingers aren’t touching the crayon. When you need more crayon you just tip it, and it slides down. The second application technique might not work so great, if the color keeps sliding up into the tube, so you may eventually need to take the color out. The colors dry nicely, and I was able to restore them back into the original case. I’m not sure if I’m in love with these, but they do work and would be easy for a young child to create art with.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this crayon that turns to watercolor to see if my 6 year old son would enjoy it. We got it and he was excited! We got a small bowl of water to dip crayon in and presto it worked like a watercolor!!! He loved it and drew to his hearts content. I highly recommend this product for fun times and projects.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old was really excited to use these. She takes her coloring very seriously and loves the vibrant colors. They are easy enough for her to use without making a mess, but color cleanly and brightly. The packaging was confusing to me since you couldn't see the colors of the crayons and it looked at first like it was all blue because of the wrappers. I was concerned I had received the wrong product, but they were as expected with multiple colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Payons were the perfect addition to my art supply! I absolutely love them. So easy to use and they give a beautiful watercolor painting! We've just started family art nights and these are going to be excellent for one of my kids!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sketcho Oil Crayons are non messy and have really great color. My daughter takes art classes and uses them for everything. The colors are very vibrant and do not fade. You can use them on pretty much any type of paper.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are so versatile and are such great quality! They have a smooth texture on the paper, and easily blend/smudge depending on your technique and the look you are going for. The pigments are vibrant and keep their color over time. Wish they came in even more colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was looking for new medium for my self proclaimed art therapy i sometimes like to do... these are great, i love the way that the colors just blend together . these have totally changed my opinion on oil products , from my past experiences you would have to wait days for your project to dry . not with these
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Painting as a child brought much joy so this year I decided to take up my long, lost hobby. I decided to use watercolors vs acrylic since the ability to blend colors easier when applying. The crayon watercolors are neat. First I draw a brief outline of my objects/visions. Next I dip my paintbrush in a tad bit of water. Then I paint like a paint a dot from years ago. They blend with ease. I love the watercolor crayons and hope more colors are brought out.
