I bought these glue sticks for a Group Fair I was hosting. I needed to paste group descriptions onto the poster boards I was hanging from the ceiling. The glue sticks held. Two sheets did come loose but it was probably my attention to detail rather than the glue as they stayed in place once I added more glue to the board.

These washable glue sticks were on sale and a great bargain. Easy to use and fun that they are purple when you apply so you can see where you applied and clear when dry. I will never lick an envelope closed and this solves my problem. Staples makes it easy to run my business from home and on the road. I like to shop with a budget in mind and I am frequently thrilled with the offers and deals that Staples has to offer each and every time I'm there for something. The rebate values are awesome!

I use these washable glue sticks for both sewing and paper crafts. They are easy to handle washout of fabric easily and don't have the mess of liquid glues.
It’s wonderful to use because it shows exactly where the glue is going. No mishaps direct hit!

I'm pleased with it so far... I've only used it for print to paper application (instead of rubber cement) so can't judge other uses. I like the color to tell where I've applied. It's lots better than rubber cement. It wasn't visually apparent whether it was a push-up or screw-feed application stick and the screw didn't turn easily so it took a few moments to figure it out while looking for a word of explaination like "turn" that was missing on the feed screw.
Used the sticks for a class project. They worked well and at this price were an affordable solution for my classroom

The texture is not so soft that it squishes all over the paper. The purple color allows the children to see where it has been applied. I would like to see it also sold in a larger size.
