Two of the four sticks had broken gears so the glue would not dispense from the tube. Others worked fine.

This glue is apparently waterproof. It goes on purple and dries clear. It's a little sticky to use but once its on it's on for good. I make sauces and use this glue to adhere labels to the plastic containers and the necks of the containers. I do cover the label with clear packing tape so the label itself doesn't tear. The containers have been washed (by hand) over and over and the labels stay on. I bought several packs of these glue sticks because they are so reliable. Staples please don't change the formula.

Big sloppy mess and when its dry it no longer sticks. Almost ruined my project.
