The cap for the glue stick has a snap fitting and it is impossible to get the cap off using just your fingers. You have to use a small wrench to first take the cap off. I use it by not pushing the cap on beyond the snap fitting. If you do push the cap on beyond the snap fitting you will have to use a wrench again to get it off. I would not recommend this to anyone and I give it a one star ratting.

Glue sticks are fine but packaging not

What can you say? These are your basic glue sticks always a good deal when the sales happen. We've used these for a number of years and no complaints there. However this year's batch seems to have really defective packaging. Bought a couple of packages of these only to have the packages burst open and send glue sticks rolling all over the place. More of an annoyance rather than anything else. Still no reason to have that. Would be great if these glue sticks came in larger sticks. If you are using a lot means that you go through them quickly which means a lot of plastic packaging getting used.
