Insecure Seal Requires Taping
on March 1, 2013
Posted by: Paula K.
In what was probably a cost-cutting measure the self-adhesive strip is now about a quarter of the width it was the last time I ordered (and versus what is shown in the product image). Thus instead of being a "quick strip " it is a "requires extra effort strip." The thin strip of self-adhesive was not secure and as I did not want the contents of my mailing to be distributed somewhere within the postal service system I had to tape each envelope flap to ensure the contents would stay inside. Unfortunatly I ordered a box of 100. I will use them up but then look for another supplier.

love the easy seal and a fair price

the easy close envelopes make our mass mailings much easier. I had been buying from another supplier but Staples has been a fairer price for same quality or better for most of our office supplies. Staples is my go to store now.

Poor adhesion- don't stay sealed

The envelopes don't stay closed. I had to tape 28 catalogue envelopes before I could mail them. Awful.

Envelopes work well. The box would be better if it opened from the side for storage purposes

Great for 8 1/2 X 11 paperwork

When you order office products it can be hard to find items that are the correct size. This envelope is the perfect standard size for 8 1/2 X 11 paperwork. The added bonus is that it is self sealing however the adhesive is a little weak so be sure to give it a good rub after closing.
